Nice hotel, central location, getting expensive on the IHG APP.
Pros:

The location is very favourable for the region that I look after for work. The rooms are as expected and the staff are always excellent. I have stayed in this property a number of times, usually via the IHG app.

Cons:

The IHG app was trying to charge £45 more for the night than booking.com.
I appreciate that there are incentives to booking as a member on the IHG app, these benefits DO NOT exceed £45 per night. I have now started to look elsewhere in the region for alternative hotels and the Mercure hotel, is equally as competitive in the area. It is a shame as, I do really like this hotel, at the correct rate.

Brilliant
Pros:

The hotel was immaculate, the staff were super friendly & couldn’t do enough to help. The breakfast was extra but definitely worth it. Stayed as attending the Radio 1 Big Weekend at Herrington CountryPark.

Fair value for a night away
Pros:

Rooms were basic and overall the hotel has seen better days. It's right next to the A1, so don't expect much more than a Travelodge experience. Breakfast was very good

Cons:

Not many staff on bar for a wedding. Overall internal decor dated and a bit shabby

Pros:

Easy to find using GPS. Plenty of parking. Staff were very professional - though as they were busy dealing with a wedding party, service was a little slow.

Cons:

It was a shame that we felt unable to use the bar and reception lounge, due to a loud and busy wedding party having taken over these facilities. There really should have been another area for this away from regular guests.
