Do bom atendimento e simpatia dos funcionários, embora este pub esteja passando por uma grande reforma. A comida é boa, embora cara,mas sem muitas opções vegetarianas. Tomar chá nas margens do riacho que passa no jardim dos fundos é o que me faz voltar sempre lá!

Pros:

Lovely room with high ceiling, tv, desk, coffee making facilities, ensuit shower & bathroom. Its a nice looking room with a comfy bed. Owner was nice and chatty. We had dinner at the pub which was excellent food.

Cons:

A mini fridge would be nice especially as we were given fresh milk for the coffee. Cobwebs in the corner on the floor by bed, also shower floor looked a bit grubby. It was also very hot and definitely needed a fan. More experienced waiting staff needed.

Pros:

Beautiful building and friendly, welcoming staff. Our room was gorgeous and clean, very well decorated and we both slept very well. The pub is charming and the restaurant is lovely. The food was great and the breakfast was amazing! The beer garden is such a beautiful place to relax. Very close to Castle Combe and surrounded by lovely little chocolate box villages. We would happily stay again.

Staff and location excellent, quality of meals inconsistent, rooms not suitable for peace and quiet
Pros:

Excellent staff, very good service and a great location for a summer drink and dining

Cons:

Quality of meals varied - one excellent meal, one poor.
Rooms - we were based on the ground floor and the people staying in the room above were very loud and, due to the age of the property, poor sound insulation.

Lovely location, great beer garden
Pros:

Lovely rural pub with a great beer garden and lovely managers

Cons:

The evening meals were really average, ordered the hake with a broad bean and radish salad
The waitress forgot the salad then when it came not a broad bean to be found, went back to find her and asked her to speak with the chef but she never came back and just avoided our table all evening.
The bedrooms need a good overall, tired with broken items inside but the manageress was lovely and changed the room on arrival
