Lovely bedroom and big comfy bed. Excellent breakfast.
Given the luxury of the rooms, the bathrooms were a bit basic, although spotlessly clean.

The Kings Head is in a lovely location, North Elmham, which is convenient for either a trip to the coast or a visit to Norwich. The pub, itself, offers a good range of beverages and food, and also entertainment (see website for details). The room was a good size with a superking bed and a bathroom with walk in shower.
On arrival, neither member of staff on duty acknowledged us stood waiting at the bar; yes, one was serving other customers, but a "I'll be right with you" would have sufficed! The other, who was behind the bar when we arrived, was evidently just going off duty. When we got checked in, there was no mention of dinner options, what they had on that weekend, etc.. In the room, it was a bit tired, needs a rec and dec, and as we went to sleep there was a pervailing smell of stale tobacco and damp. The mattress was not big enough for the bed base - there was about a foot gap at the top, and it was uncomfortable. The far side bedside lamp had the pull cord to switch it on/off missing so it had to be done at the plug socket, which was awkward to get to. In the bathroom, the towel rail was leaking, water all over the floor, and it was corroded/rusty. We turned it off at the electrial socket and turned it all the way down as we didn't want to get electrocuted (put a towel on the floor to soak up the water) - this was reported immediately to the person in the bar who had checked us in. You had to run round to get wet in the shower! Breakfast - ordered a full english and got a small breakfast, which wasn't what we asked for. Although the member of staff offered to get it made up to the full size breakfast, it was superfluous by that point, as we had waited 20 mins for it to come out already! The capuccino's we ordered were thin and tastless and not what they were supposed to be. Breakfast was not included in the price of the stay, so we had to pay extra, and it wasn't cheap! Service was poor, as there was only one member of staff covering front of house/reception, serving breakfast and taking orders and clearing away until more staff showed up towards 10.30am. Unfortunately it wasn't the stay we were looking forward to whilst visiting family

Kings Head is in good location for a wedding at Pensthorpe. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Good shower. Good and reasonably priced breakfast. Ample parking.

Breakfast were very good, wide choices of things to eat, bed comfortable, evening meals good choices you might have to wait but everything is fresh and very hot.

Bottled water replaced when needed, good selection of tea,coffee, hot chocolate with plenty of milk portions
Massive cob web above bed on ceiling along the whole wall which we removed on first night... You could only see is with light on and laying down.
Toilet seat very loose and wobbly.
Booking . Com said breakfast was included so we're surprised when had to pay but room good value so made up for it
Some tables were very sticky in bar and breakfast area.

Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Stopover for a wedding so didn't have a full meal. However, the chips were some of the best I have eaten!

Early check out of 10 am , clean wise there was a fusty smell from bathroom and few cobwebs round window but other than that excellent.
