Pros:

A great place to stay when visiting the New Forest. A very popular pub with rooms and a restaurant. Had a great room( Quail), beautifully decorated and relaxing, situated away from the main pub, able to relax in the private courtyard. Full English Breakfast recommended, delicious!!!. Great coffee too!
Staff and managers were really friendly, and took the time to have conversations, so nice to see genuine, lovely, friendly people, bit of a rarity these days. !
Train station a 5 mins walk away.
Easy to catch train to other destinations ie: Lymington( definately a visit).etc..
Would definitely recommend staying, to Family and friends.

Good friendly service but courtyard rooms whilst nice are not private.
Pros:

The pub was well located in Brockenhurst and had a reasonable carpark. Breakfast was good with good friendly service and an ample range of options. Our room was comfortable.

Cons:

Our room however was noisy as the pub is popular with an outside bar, alot of outside seating and music. It would have been nice to open the rooms french doors but this was impossible as an outside table and walkway was immediately outside. Our friends room was quite dark due to small windows.

Pros:

Staff were great, and location was good.

Cons:

The bed had a coffee stain on it and the beds were two single beds attached together. Apart from that the room was clean and tidy.

Lovely location, would stay again
Pros:

We booked this a few hours before turning up, as we didn’t know where we wanted to go or what parts of the New Forest we wanted to visit during our stay. When we got there we were staying in a lovely room and the entire place is beautifully old and charming with a lovely outside space, fireplace and very dog friendly. We decided to eat here so we could relax and not have to bounce around looking for food and we are so glad we did. Sometime when you stay in a pub the food can be very ordinary, but this was absolutely not the case, we had the pork steak, burger and ox cheek mac and cheese (which was incredible) all the food and drinks were amazing, especially the espresso martini which is a speciality of one of the bar team. We would absolutely go back and recommend it not only for its lovely accommodation but also if you’re just looking for a really good and wholesome meal with nice staff and vibes, this is a great choice.

Cons:

No issues no comment on. Everything was really good for the prices we paid.
