Clean , comfortable little pricey
Pros:

Location, comfortable, was really nice to have cold water stations around ( it was extremely hot when we were there) nice to have a fan in the room

Cons:

Shower in the tub. Needs a non slip mat. Also the window facing afternoon sun could use a shade in addition to curtains, so continue to get air flow..restaurant a little pricey.. breakfast the 1 st day was good, poached eggs perfect . Second day not so much. Ran out of croissants, had to ask to refill orange juice and butter.. and the poached eggs were hard boiled .. which they later fixed..

Nydelig opphold på The Huntsman
Pros:

The Huntsman var en perle av et hotell. Atmosfæren var veldig god, og det hyggelige personalet bidro sterkt til dette. Fellesområdene, baren og rommet er veldig smakfullt innredet og dekorert. Sengene var gode, og det er mange flotte detaljer på rommet som får deg til å ønske deg velkommen. Den flotte bakhagen med bar og servering var en virkelig perle! Vi kommer gjerne tilbake.

Cons:

Vi var ikke helt heldige med frokosten, poached egg var gjennomkokte, og hollandaise til eggs benedict hadde skilt seg kraftig. Men dette var en liten detalj i det store bildet.

Good evening meal, lots of spacious dining inside and outside. Excellent location for walking in the forest.
Pros:

Fantastic staff, welcoming and helpful.

Cons:

The window didn’t open in my room (Partridge twin) . A fan was supplied but still very uncomfortable.

Great location but unclean room.
Pros:

Great location with really nice staff who did everything they could to resolve our room issues.

Cons:

There were major cleanliness issues with our room. The carpet had clearly not been hoovered as there were dog biscuits on the floor from the previous occupants. If dogs are allowed in all rooms then I would expect a much stricter cleaning regime. There was also food on the dressing table chair and the room had clearly not been dusted for a very long time. The lampshades were thick with dust. The bath plug chain was also stuck in the plughole which meant we had to force it out to be able to run a bath.

Comfortable and convenient to enjoy exploring the New Forest
Pros:

The stuff we are hopeful and accommodating. The location was close to town. The room was very comfortable.

Cons:

It is a pub, so some of the accomodation rooms sit right on the public beer garden area which made it noisy. The room decor and furniture could be updated to make a little more functional.

2nd visit to the Huntsman
Pros:

Excellent location. Easy access to public transport, train and bus. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast and varied menu. Dog friendly. Nice outdoor area with bar and pizza bar.
