C’e un pub aperto fino all’1 di proprietà della struttura, ben fornito e frequentato, con giochi e biliardo
Possibilità di colazione solo dalle 7.30, quindi forse un po’ limitante se si vuole partire presto
Per via del bar vi può essere un po’ di rumore la sera ma sono molto gentili e lasciano anche nelle stanze i tappi per le orecchie
The host Iain and Jack and Andrew. The room was of good size. The breakfasts and dinners. The choice of whiskies. The fantastic vibe of a local establishment. Islay and Islay whiskies.

Didn't feel part of a 'hotel' (I know it is a pub/restaurant as you were accessing your room separate to the bar/restaurant, which meant you didn't always see staff.
Followed process for getting room cleaned but nothing happened.
Different staff each day (although all very friendly) but meant there was no continuity
On the last day when we were leaving I couldn't find anyone to say bye to and check it was okay to leave
The Innkeeper Ian was wonderful. You could tell that he truly enjoyed owning and running the inn, interacting with the people who were staying there. He’s also an excellent chef. Had a great few days there with our friends.

The beds and room were both comfy and nicely furnished. Everyone made us feel welcomed and couldn’t do enough for us. Super friendly and just a lovely family run hotel and pub. The food was brilliant too..!
Gemütliches kleines Hotel mit modernem Zimmer, riesen Bett und TV, super nettem Personal und schönem Pub, in dem man das beste schottische Frühstück bekommt und am Abend herzliche Gesellschaft und gutes Bier. Direkt am Meer gelegen und mit einem super Seafood Restaurant in der Nähe. Bei Ian fühlt man sich, als würde man alte Freunde besuchen. Wir kommen wieder!
Der Raumlufterfrischer war etwas penetrant, aber das ist geschmackssache. Alles andere war absolute spitze und es war das schönste schottische Hotel, in dem wir bisher waren.
Location was fine. Breakfast okay but a bit casual. For example fruit juice in cartons on the table, packets of cereal - not what we would expect at this price. Staff very friendly and helpful and cooked bit of breakfast was fine.
Other hotels we have stayed at during this island-hopping trip have offered, for the same price, more spacious public rooms, separate dining area and one even had two swimming pools. In our opinion, the Lochindaal should be marketed as a friendly, traditional Scottish pub with rooms and priced accordingly. We enjoyed staying there but felt it was over-priced.

The bedroom was a lovely modern renovated room with a new bathroom and great shower. The bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the coffee maker.
Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, tired looking fruit and nearly empty cereal packets on the bar the first morning.
The room was SO cozy! A plush bed and couch, it was perfect. The owner was SO cordial, like many folks on Islay he made me feel like family from the moment we met. Welcoming, friendly, everything you could want!!
Jake and Ian run a fantastic inn. Its clear that this is the pride of their family. They pride themselves on the upkeep and cleanliness of the hotel. Its a gathering spot for locals too. A super friendly place to call home when you are traveling to Islay.
I loved everything. It is hard for someone who has heart disease to eat a heart healthy meal - but not impossible.
It is an authentic, local, family-owned and welcoming place. We felt like at home and the owners really made us feel very comfortable.
