L'île de Maio a été un émerveillement pour nous et l'hôtel Big Game y a contribué.
Pros:

Accueil très sympathique de tous le personnel, particulièrement Mirko qui a toujours été à notre disposition pour tous les renseignements nécessaires. Hôtel prés du centre, des plages et de la saline.

Charming place with a good restaurant and fabulous staff-- still quite basic, however
Pros:

Big Game is a delightful place with extremely capable and friendly staff. It has charming decorations and is very clean. It is on the main street of Porto Ingles (also called Vila de Maio), the main town on the island of Maio. That street has several restaurants and shops and ends at a park overlooking the beach. Everything is easy to walk to. The restaurant in the Big Game is very good, if expensive compared to other places.

My room (11) was a large one and it had an extra bedroom that I did not use. It also had a small balcony overlooking the back of the property, with no view of anything interesting. Furniture was minimal, with only one dining room style chair and a sort of cabinet to house the small refrigerator and TV.

The staff were fantastic. Mirko, in particular, is a tremendously friendly man who seems to genuinely care about all the hotel's guests. The hotel rents quads and cars; I rented a quad for a day and he marked a suggested itinerary on a map he gave me. It was perfect.

I really liked the place.

Cons:

Big Game is probably the best hotel in Porto Ingles. It is certainly the most expensive. Therefore, it should have a more generous spirit in some respects. It should make people feel that they are getting more for the money than they would get elsewhere.

Breakfast is not very impressive-- a small selection of items, one jam, two kinds of bread, etc. You get an egg that they will cook however you want. You have to ask for milk, as it is not on the buffet table. You get ONE coffee only, and have to pay if you want more. That should change. The most expensive hotel in town should give you a second cappucino without having to pay extra.

The room is also very basic. As mentioned, I had a very big room, but it had no table other than a nightstand, and only one hard dining room style chair.

Finally, the public area of the hotel-- restaurant, essentially-- closes from noon to five or six every day. That is not very convenient for numerous reasons. For a large part of every day, the only accessible part of the hotel is the stairwell and guest rooms (there is a separate entrance).

Pros:

Nos quedamos una noche, no pudimos comer porque era el día de descanso del personal (martes). Las habitaciones eran preciosas, muy limpio y camas muy cómodas. Teníamos contratado el desayuno, nos hicieron el favor de adelantarlo porque el vuelo se modifico. Además nos contrató el taxi para ir/volver al aeropuerto y la excursión para ir a ver las tortugas.

Pros:

Merci à toute l équipe pour votre accueil qui a rendu notre séjour si agreable ! Les chambres sont propres, climatisées et bien équipées. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et le restaurant est super. La location de quad est une belle opportunité de visiter l ile dans ses moindres recoins

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour à la pension Big Game. L’accueil est vraiment chaleureux et l’équipe est très prévenante et à l’écoute.

Un grand merci à Mirko, toujours disponible, de très bons conseils et attentif à nos besoins. Il a largement contribué à rendre notre séjour encore plus agréable.

L’établissement est propre, confortable et bien équipé avec la climatisation. Mention spéciale également pour le restaurant, où nous avons très bien mangé !

Une adresse que nous recommandons sans hésiter pour découvrir l’île de Maio dans une ambiance conviviale . 😊

Os proprietários e funcionários são super simpáticos e prestáveis. O Mirko foi incansável e um excelente anfitrião, auxiliou-nos em tudo o que precisávamos. A Felicidad e o Adilson são funcionários 5 estrelas.
A pensão é super central. A comida do restaurante é fantástica.

Pros:

As instalações sem luxo, são limpas e adequadas a uma estadia agradável.

A generalidade dos funcionários são uma simpatia, e o Gerente MIRKO é muito profissional, simpático e sempre disponível.

O Restaurante é uma das melhores opções na ilha.

Cons:

O único constrangimento do Hotel é a inexistência de elevador, superado pela disponibilidade dos funcionários para carregar as malas.

Pros:

Budova hotelu je nová moderní, avšak postavená podle tradiční funkční architektury, která zajišťuje výborné klima v domě i bez použití klimatizace. Klimatizace je samozřejmě k dispozici, ale není třeba ji příliš využívat.
Snídaně výborná. K dispozici bylo čerstvé ovoce, každý den čerstvé domácí pečivo a sladké koláče, sýr, šunka, máslo, džus. Možnost nechat si udělat čerstvou vaječnou omeletu, nebo vejce na jiný způsob (1ks/ osoba - to mě trochu překvapilo), ale stačilo to.
Velice oceňuji kvalitu a čerstvost surovin používaných v restauraci. Obdivuji majitele, provozního i kuchaře, všichni původem z Itálie, že zvládnou i tady (prakticky uprostřed ničeho) tak dobře zásobovat hotel a restauraci. Umím si představit, že to není vůbec snadné.
Čistota na vysoké úrovni.
Personál příjemný a dobře vycvičený:-)
