First class hotel ideal location for my needs will return soon.
Pros:

Excellent selection for breakfast, full Scottish breakfast was very filling. The staff were friendly and welcoming nothing was to much trouble.

The guest WiFi could have been better

Give the Broadcroft a miss if you have transport!
Pros:

The Broadcroft staff I met were absolutely fantastic, couldn't do enough for me, from cleaners to front desk staff they were all so helpful! The breakfast tasted amazing too, only problem being breakfast on my first day was missing items and the food was only lukewarm. On the second day it was self service so the food was warm and delicious!
The Broadcroft is situated in the heart of Kirkintilloch so it was very convenient to get to the shops and the bus stops going into Glasgow.

Cons:

No lift! I've got osteoarthritis in my knees and hips so it was daunting getting to my 2nd floor room as it was four lots of stairs!
It was painful going up and down them all weekend.
The bedroom was small and looked dated. The pillows and cushions on my bed smelt like they needed a good wash, not pleasant!
No plug sockets near the mirror for styling hair with hairdryer, hotbrush, etc., the cable on the hairdryer doesn't stretch far enough!
The bin in the bathroom was rusty and chipped, it was very noticeable!
The seating where I sat for my breakfast was cracked and split.
My bedroom didn't have a pleasing view for the money I paid, and, the smells from the kitchen wafted into my room from the vents in the wall next to my window...
The television was tiny and only had the basic channels. No BBC iplayer. No Netflix. I assumed I would've been able to log into my accounts to watch my favourites.
People use the Broadcroft as it's the only hotel in Kirkintilloch!

Pros:

There are just a few rooms a couple of floors above a nice, spacious restaurant and bar. Absolutely no problems with noise. Room was compact but a reasonable size and modern, fresh and functional. Bed was fine, shower was fantastic. TV on the wall was odd in that it was fairly small and located quite high but it worked fine. All staff very pleasant and courteous. The smiley rating I gave seems to be ‘Superb’ which is perhaps a little high, but that’s not do the Broadcroft down, which at the time of my stay was great value for money

Pleasantly surprised
Pros:

Popped in for dinner all our go to places were closed (mon) or not answering phone so dried the Broadcroft glad we did and will be back 2 out of 3 had steak pie said it was most meat filled and tasty, nice decor very welcoming and friendly staff. Im hoping its like this all the time as planning to go back

Tutto perfetto e cibo eccellente
Pros:

Struttura eccellente e ben curata. Il personale è sempre a disposizione e molto gentile. Consiglio vivamente la cena al ristorante superlativa! Ottima l’attenzione verso il cliente! Colazione buonissima! Sicuramente ritornerò

The restaurant and decor made it feel like a really luxurious place to stay.
Pros:

It feels luxurious when you walk inside. The decor and artwork were gorgeous. The bar and restaurant were wonderful. The staff were all so smiley and friendly.

Cons:

We were in a group of 8 people across 5 rooms. Some of the rooms didn’t have air con and were too warm. Done if the rooms were quite small.

The whole experience was tainted by how we were treated by the bar staff.
Pros:

Room small but clean. No complaints.

Cons:

We were very disappointed to be told very abruptly that the bar was closed when we went for a drink at 9.15pm. When we explained that we were residents and only wanted one drink before going to our room the bar tender shouted at us that the hotel didn’t have a residents license and that it was closed.

Lovely place except no lift.
Pros:

It was very clean and the staff was so lovely. The breakfast was really nice with a wide range from cereal to toast and jam or the full scottish cooked breakfast, buffet style.

Cons:

There ia still no lift in The Broadcroft and carrying suitcase up 2 flights of stairs is hard for us.
