The hotel was good but not suited to the heatwave at the time!
Pros:

The Crown was well situated for our stay, the outside area had a great atmosphere.

Cons:

Being so warm,our room was quite hot and the fan supplied did not work properly blowing the air backwards instead of out the front .

Pros:

Crown is the best hotel in Blandford. Comfortable rooms, welcoming staff, good food.

Cons:

The room didn't have air conditioning and was too hot. We will choose a room with air conditioning next time.

Ideally situated for access to Blandford, great atmosphere, social hub for the town, comfortable, historic, good service.

Location- good for meeting family living nearby.

Cons:

Outside glass tables were dirty and smeared. Cane chairs arms felt greasy.
Food was adequate but not exciting and beer was not chilled as low as it should have been. Bedroom was characterful (room 18) and benefited from aircon.
The restaurant is magnificent with its paintings and sketches of directors of the brewery.

Excellent hôtel
Pros:

Chambre Deluxe pour 4 : en fait deux chambres mitoyennes et une SDB, parfait pour une famille. Très confortable, propre et décoration absolument british ! On a adoré ! En plus cette chambre là (pas toutes) est climatisée. Parking privé sur place et petite ville charmante. Le petit-déjeuner est parfait, bref je conseille vivement !
