A beautiful hotel with fantastic staff—we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at Arden House Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. The hotel is beautiful, with lovely surroundings and a peaceful atmosphere. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, making for a relaxing night’s stay. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice, and the service was excellent from start to finish. We genuinely couldn’t fault our experience and would happily recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Cons:

Nothing at all. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

A clean and efficient place to stay offering good value
Pros:

Clean and efficient; good location with plenty of parking. Good value.

Cons:

The only improvement I would suggest is a refresh of the interior decoration which is rather brown. Given that Kirkcudbright is known as the artist’s town some lovely paintings on the walls would make the interiors much more appealing.

What a gem!
Pros:

Loved the aspect, was greeted by a young red deer crossing the driveway as we pulled in.
Although a heritage building, the hotel was immaculate. The room was probably the cleanest room we have stayed in.
It's obvious that the owners have invested into the property and they have done so tastefully.
We only had breakfasts at the property but the food was very tasty and so much of it! The breakfast service was so efficient.
We woke up on our first morning and both commented on how quiet the room was. We slept so well.
The bar is well stocked and served a nice, chilled draught beer.

Cons:

We liked everything that we experienced.
The only comment might be that the signage was obscured so we drove past it initially. Not a big thing.

Comfortable stay
Pros:

We received an informative welcome and found our room comfortable with good tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel is rather dated and lacked ambience but was good value for the price and perfectly located for visiting the town and surrounding area. Breakfast was very good.

Cons:

As above
