Excellent location in the heart of Lauterbrunnen with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and waterfalls. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The reception team was particularly outstanding, very welcoming, professional, friendly, and always willing to help with recommendations and any questions. Their positive attitude and excellent customer service made the stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was good, and the overall atmosphere was warm and relaxing.

excellent staff and location.
Hotel Staubbach has very friendly and accommodating front desk staff, and the hotel itself was clean. That said, it is definitely an older and quite dated property. The room was fine for a short stay and comfortable enough to sleep, but personally I couldn’t imagine staying there for an entire week, especially considering the high prices. The hotel has more of a basic motel-style feel than what we expected. One thing worth noting is that the rooms only had one pillow per person, which felt a bit minimal. Breakfast also starts relatively late at 7:30 AM, while many travelers in Lauterbrunnen are early risers trying to begin hiking or sightseeing early in the morning.
The breakfast area could also benefit from a more efficient coffee setup. Currently, coffee is brewed individually the traditional way, which creates a long line and a bit of morning chaos while guests wait. The morning breakfast crew also seemed a bit overwhelmed during setup, and one staff member lady with dark short hair came across somewhat abrupt under the pressure of the busy rush. Investing in self-serve coffee machines for cappuccinos and lattes would make the breakfast experience feel much smoother and more relaxing for guests.
Overall, the staff was kind and the hotel served its purpose for a quick overnight stay, but travelers expecting a more modern or upscale mountain hotel experience may want to adjust expectations.

The view is like no other. Simply majestic. Adam at the front desk was exemplary. He was everything you would ever want in a host. The rest of the staff was great as well.
Locations, staff ( very helpful ) Adam was riding his bike and saw us ,walking from station with our luggages and asked which hotel we are staying? surprising , he works at staubbach hotel
. He told us the direction and went back with his bike to make sure we are on the right track . It was late at night .
