Please note that the hotel is scheduled to undergo roof and façade renovations from 9 September 2026 until the end of the year. During this time, room and balcony views will be limited, and some daytime noise is to be expected. An unforgettable stay with breathtaking views, warm hospitality, and the perfect base to explore the area.
Pros:

The views were absolutely beautiful, out of this world. Made it all worth it. It was very central to everything as well. Charming little town. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Breakfast was yum, the bacon was the best bacon I’ve ever had.

Charming and well located hotel in Lauterbrunnen
Pros:

The hotel has a fridge to store food and tables to eat. Views of the waterfall are beautiful but not necessary if budget is of importance. Hotel is easy walk from train. Quiet in evening

Cons:

Touristy town which allows buses and cars. Easy walk from train but could use as a base for nearby car free towns. The hotel is in excellent location for car or train travel to area as well as being charming. This is a Rick Steves hotel where his tour stays when in Lauterbrunnen.

Ligging van hotel is mooi, vriendelijk personeel, koffie/thee/water hele dag door gratis beschikbaar in gedeelde koffiekamer, goed ontbijt met prachtig uitzicht. En gratis parkeren voor de deur. De bedden lagen prima. Door koffie/thee en ontbijt inclusief was de totaalprijs nog redelijk goed. Er is een lift aanwezig - de bovenste etage is echter alleen via een smalle, steile trap bereikbaar.

Cons:

Dat de badkamer gedeeld moest worden, wisten we vooraf. Dit betrof echter.een douche en wc op iets van 2 m2. De douche en slaapkamer bevinden zich direct onder het schuine dak, waardoor de stahoogte beperkt is (douchekop komt tot ca 1,7 m hoogte). De bad- en slaapkamer zijn verouderd qua inrichting, net als de rest van het hotel. Advies is dit dus eens een grondige opknapbeurt te geven. De accommodatie heeft in totaal net aan verwachtingen heeft voldaan.

Wonderful room with the perfect view on Lauterbrunnen!
Pros:

We loved this hotel. The location is perfect. The breakfast is exceptional, and the star of the show was the balcony and the view from our room. The shower was also probably the best hotel shower/water pressure we’ve ever had. Staff so helpful.
