Very friendly gentlemen on arrival , went through everything we needed to know about access and our stay.
Nothing, would recommend 😃😃
A traditional English pub in a historic building with accommodation around the courtyard behind. Although the live music was incredibly loud when I arrived the bedroom was surprisingly quiet, except for the peal of bells from a nearby church on the Sunday morning, which I enjoyed.
Although there is no formal reception the staff at the bar were very helpful: one carried my bag to my room and another brought a note of a telephone message to my room.
The location is in the heart of Stony Stratford, with a variety of places to eat close by.
There are a bar and cafe at the property but they had stopped serving bar food at 7pm on the Saturday and no breakfast was available on the Sunday (but there are several other places to eat or buy food close by).
The courtyard was easily accessible from the street, so I did not feel I could leave my laptop there.
La cama era comodlsima y las almohadas perfectas
Just central position
We were expecting from the advert to stay in old pub as advertised but ended up in a modern coffin room extremely claustrophobic and stifling hot. We could not safely open the window for air as it was on back of public car park and unsafe. Hated the room and the price was too much for a box. Did approach the pub after for their comments but they ignored me. WOUD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. Awful. Last year stayed at the pub down the road which was exceptional but unfortunately they had no rooms available
price
entrance had to walk through full pub garden
Not really value for money
Its was tiny
Very intimate but modern rooms
Everything was great!
Room was small, but enough for a few days
Food not always available at the pub
The room was very hot which is ok but was not helped by the quilt on the bed being a thick one maybe a top sheet would be useful in this heat also would have like to had breakfast there.
Easy to find and straightforward check in. Clean room with double and a single bed and decent bathroom with everything we needed. Separate from the pub with own front door. Good tea and coffee making facilities.
If I’m being picky, the pillows weren’t the most comfortable but thats also down to preference.
Ours first time used old fashioned hotels. But this hotel well maintained and super clean.
Nothing. Everything is good
The staff were so friendly and welcoming and really warm towards us
The WiFi connection is horrendous unfortunately and as we were trying to book Ubers, download tickets or connect to Netflix it was impossible due to the poor connection. However with that being said it’s good to be unplugged for a while from the internet and enjoy normal tv ! The bathroom we stayed in did have a very bad sewage smell and due to the plumbing there’s a sound every so often from the pipes which annoyed my partner who is sensitive to sound. Also warning the walls are extremely thin and we had a very loud couple next door to us which kept me up at 1am!
How easy assese the rooms were
Nothing
Central location
Room was out the back away from noise of pub.
Music way too loud, if known it was going to be loud, wouldn't have picked here.
The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were quiet. Breakfast was excellent.
Price
Run down
location, good value for money, decent shower, cooling fan, watching the pub screens as England beat Norway in extra time
a slight whiff in the bathroom, a bit tight for space around the toilet
