Not up to usual standard.
Pros:

Location and staff

Cons:

Room.was about to be refurbished and was looking quite shabby. The shower sprayed everywhere and however hard we tried, we got a facefull of water. As we are elderly a shower over the bath is not ideal especially as I have hip.problems.
We thought standards had dropped from our previous stays. Several days we had to make our own bed and one bath towel was grey while the others were very white. It was a white towel, or rather had been but this was noticeably grey. Toilet rolls were not replaced so we bought our own Andrex.
The sauce for eggs Benedict was like lumpy custard and not like normal Hollandaise sauce, served on toast whereas a traditional Benedict is served on a muffin with ham, not stringy bacon. Plus adding spinach to a Benedict makes it Eggs Romaine and mushrooms are not usually part of Benedict.

Excellent and would book again
Pros:

Booked a room for 3 nights which was clean, spacious and comfortable with an bathroom with everything you could possibly need. Handy that a restaurant and bar was adjacent to the rooms. Didn't have a meal but this part looked very homely with a nice atmosphere.

Cons:

The old exterior sash windows could do with a clean up and repaint.

We had everything we needed great food comfortable room
Pros:

Food was great breakfast plenty of it. Staff in the restaurant were friendly and polite, nothing too much trouble. Lovely to have a much needed fan in the bedroom.

Cons:

It could do with a bit of freshen up, windows in dining areas don’t open making it to warm. Room 12 could do with bathroom tile near the floor glued back on.

Okay just for a short stop off but not for a long time
Pros:

The route to the single room for my elderly relative involved quite a few steps without hand rails

Would use this property to stay in again
Pros:

Friendly staff - fan had been running so room was as cool as could be given the awful heat we have been having.

Cons:

Continental breakfast was rather disappointing - croissants were burnt and not much choice of other products. Cooked food was much better.

Pros:

The restaurant served delicious food, the service wasn't the quickest however the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The check in/ check out process was easy. The car park was a fair enough size. Although the hotel is on a main road, no road noise was heard from our room all night. Good selection of tea and coffee in the room. Menus in the room too. Great breakfast for the price added onto room price.

Cons:

The room was extremely worn, the bathroom was literally falling to bits, the warning 'electrical' box on our wall was damaged and the cover was half hanging off. The TV didn't work very well and wasn't situated in front of the sofa. The single quilt was very stained, thankfully the sofa bed wasn't needed so the quilt wasn't used. Restaurant was very dated and poor finishes of painting, walls need touching up and a deep clean required everywhere. Surface level the cleanliness was okay.

Amazing hotel, the bathroom would benift with extra care.
Pros:

The staff were absolutely lovely,
The bed was huge and very comfortable.
There was a fan in the room which during the heatwave was very useful.
Even though we didn't use it there was also a hairdryer, iron and an ironing board.
Great selection of coffee and teas available. Which we used.

Cons:

Unfortunately the bathroom was a little dirty, the shower curtains was a little have marks on the bottom

The toilet water pressure was a little weak, took us several attempts to flush tissue down

Underwhelming but decent enough for the price
Pros:

Nice location and lovely food with quick service

Cons:

Lack of entertainment, poor cleanliness of room e.g. cobwebs and dust. Electrical hazard with the kettle as it was leaking from the bottom when full. Door also does not shut behind you upon entering unless pushed shut unlike exiting the room.

Disappointing but served it's purpose
Pros:

Breakfast. Bar atmosphere.

Cons:

Having to climb so many stairs to our bedroom with very heavy cases.
Bathroom needed a refurb.
Lack of accessible electrical sockets - even your own kettle couldn't reach the socket so we had to move it.
