Perfect in every way
Nothing
Room was a nice size, clean, shower bathroom although small was very well laid out, and I like the rain shower head. Clothes hanging area, nicely hidden. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Room nicely decorated, nothing posh just nice.
Quilt was a little too thick for this time of year, but not too uncomfortable.
No air con, it was hot and I had to close the curtains and keep the fan going all day and night. This was the one and only downside of the room.
Didn’t understand why the fridge door was left open, never used the fridge, maybe because leaving door closed and off causes mold.
You, the owners did allocate me and another gentleman that turned up by chance at the same time, the wrong rooms and incorrect access codes. Also the “emergency number” went to an answering service. Why is that an emergency number then?
So we were both standing outside doing alternate phoning to an emergency numbat and eventually someone answered, long story short the two booking were messed up as were the entry codes. BUT you did get it resolved after about 10-15 mins. TIP: don’t make emergency numbers go to an answerphone.
The bathroom was ok .
The room was very poor, paint work looks very dirty it smells damp , it was far too hot in there and made it very uncomfortable so much so we couldn't sleep it needs aircon in it . The
person in room above was smoking and it wasn't tobacco so had to shut the window on a room that was already 80 degrees , the fan was broken wouldn't osolate and the cover that covers the motor was hanging off, the bed was uncomfortable very hard , no parking if you park in asda like they say on there web site you get a 100 pound fine as your only allowed 3 hours, we went and asked in store first thank goodness.
It was convenient for the party we were attending, plus our onward journey home. The Room was a decent size, albeitly overlooking the small garden. It was ideal for what we wanted.
Because we were travelling during a hot period of weather, The room had been shut up, which unfortunately due to the orientation of the room, which was facing West, meant that the room was very uncomfortable on arrival, Only one fan was available, opening both windows did alleviate the stuffiness, however, because the room faced West, the larger Window also looked over the garden and smoking terrace.
Location accessible to other shops
So much better than we were expecting. There is no reception etc, you get a code to get in the main door (to the left of the restaurant door) and same code for your room. Easy. We had a family room, it was massive. We had a hallway, large lounge area with a single bed and our own double bedroom. The lounge area had a Juliette balcony. It was quiet. Beds were comfortable. Fan in each room. Lovely bathroom (shower head needs descaling!).
Parking information could be better. We parked in Rockville car park, there is an alleyway that comes out from the car park to rooms 73, but you have to go round to another road to access it which wasn’t too clear from the info. But it was all good.
A lot more modern than others
And spacious
The Bar closes @ 16.00 on Sunday
Next to good restaurant and it did have a fan.
Quite dirty, marks all on walls, I felt we had the worst room looking at the others online with a tiny window next to a roof. The shower didn’t work and was boiling hot. They did come to fix for 20mins but still not great. The extractor also didn’t work and extract hot steam from boiling shower. The fan was broken, so was the fridge non and the air con/radiator. Max cost and minimum input.
Room was big,
No charging points, everything you needed was there but everything very basic. Other visitors banging doors. Hole in quilt cover, pillows 1 per adult. No staff to ask or query with. Very high step into building. DEFINITELY not suitable for disabled persons or if you struggle with steps and stairs.
Absolutely perfect, great location
Lovely rooms. Clean, comfortable bed, compact but very usable bathroom. Easy to “check in”. The pub below, while under different management despite the same name, serves really great food.
Very hard to get airflow into the room. Friday was a really hot day. Despite there being a window and a fan, it was really hard to get the cooler outside air circulating into the room, so it ended up being a really hot night. It would really help if the corridor had a window or an air vent so I could have propped the room door open for a while, but the corridor was hotter than the room!
