We loved everything about this location. From the amenities to the surrounding walks, it served as a perfect setting to get us in the mood for attending Chatsworth Film in the Park. We watched Pride & Prejudice, and while staying at The Maynard, it truly made it an exceptional experience.

Location, good size room, value rate.
Breakfast was very good.
Shower unit had been damaged and decor looked primed ready for complete decoration.
We have stayed before but were disappointed this time
have been lots of times lovely and clean, staff are always very polite pleasant and helpful, food is amazing, surroundings area outstanding, will visit again.
Although we had a lovely stay at the Maynard .the heated towel rail in the shower room was disgusting, it was very rusty and didn't really want to use the towels provided, although they were very clean. we were in room fingelton

Way too hot the tv had 3 channels and no internet
Style location coffee machine and free refills robes in the room dab radio in the room was a nice touch
Couple of bits of tatty decoration in the bedroom, old fan that needed to be updated, could have done with a couple more staff on duty during evening meal staff didn’t really have the time to attend the customers well

I had a pot of tea and my friends joined me and also had tea. Struggled to get it at a decent strength. Tea cooled very quickly
A 5 star stay - every little detail taken care of. I arrived just after the restaurant had closed but was offered dessert by the receptionist as she could see it had been a long day. The room was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The breakfast and service was impeccable. Will definitely being staying again for both business and pleasure when next in the Peak District.
