Ideally situated and good value for money
Pros:

We visit this hotel once a year. Sunday night is an amazing evening there is a band great atmosphere. Food is good and the staff can't do enough for you. Ideally situated in the high street handy for shops, pubs and restaurants

Cons:

Some of the bathroom fittings are difficult to use. Ideally certain areas could do with a full refurbishment such as bathrooms etc.

Below average
Pros:

Nothing in particular

Cons:

On arrival I was given keys to a pokey room that had not been made up.
The barman sorted it out eventually once he had gained access to reception . I was given another room. He was pleasant and helpful and offered a complimentary beverage while I waited. He was having to deal with someone else’s error.

Great location and reasonable value.
Pros:

Didn't eat at all at the Hotel. Location is perfect being in the middle of the High Street. Reception and check out handled by Laura who couldn't have been more helpful nor more fun. Receptionist on Saturday was just about the opposite.

Cons:

Our room was right at the top which meant a lot of steps and having to avoid low ceilings. The recent heatwave had obviously made the room very stuffy and we had to run the fan for the whole time we were there.

Very good.
Cons:

Our room needs a better shower. Water flow not strong enough.
Only 2 tea bags in complimentary offering which isn’t enough for when two people are staying in the ten room.

Could be so much better....
Pros:

The young man (with pen behind his ear) in the bar area was friendly and good at his job. My evening meal was very enjoyable - sizzler with chicken. Great location.

Cons:

USB in room doesn't work. No toiletries, bathroom needs updating especially the floor, breakfast poor - no pastries, cooked items look like been there a long time, no oat milk - I was told I should have requested before arrival, food and drink areas at breakfast not stocked - no glasses, one cup, no clean spoons, no plates, no fruit tea and bowl of fresh fruit very small and not very well presented - think one member of staff not enough at breakfast - 9.10am when I visited. Receptionist on evening I arrived was ok but in the morning I got the feeling, she was too busy to speak or answer my questions and the fact that when she was seated all I could see were here eyes and top of her head didn't help at all.

We come every year and I don't see that changing.
Pros:

Didn't have breakfast but did use the bar and lounge and had an evening meal. Thankfully a fan in the room as requested as temperature was 30 deg!

Cons:

Noise at night from people in the room above us which was a shame though not the fault of the hotel.
