It was close to the Regatta, and it had wonderful views!
All was good!
Fantastic magical place with wonderful staff
Breakfast was superb . Location very good. Ground excellent,
I was there for the Henley Festival, so a handy location which was not too far from the event.
The rooms do not have air conditioning.
Everything, the rooms were beautiful, location fantastic and breakfast lovely
Nothing
The room was very smart, clean and comfortable. It had drinks making facilities, iron, iron board.
Nothing
Surroundings, beautiful view towards the Thamse
We liked it very much. Suggestion: a little bit more variety for breakfast (every day the same, even if it was good- we stayed 4 nights)
The hotel, which is part of the Reading University campus, is in a stunning location and the buildings are beautiful. The old part with the reception area and bars is really elegant, and the bedrooms are in a modern complex and are stylish and comfortable. The only thing that let it down was the food . Sadly, both nights (once in the dining room and once in the bar ), both our main courses were inedible. Rock hard confit duck and squid that I could not cut, let alone chew.
Just the food, everything else was great. We were there for the Regatta and it was super convenient
Nothing
beautiful location, convenient to the Henley Regatta but morning buses were very slow
This Hotel was just wonderful! A beautiful location right by the river, just outside Henley. We only stayed 1 night for Henley Regatta, but would definitely stay again for longer.
Nothing
Staff very helpful, friendly.
Location, main building, grounds great.
Room small, bathroom dark. I found it hot with no air conditioning but fans were available in room.
Breakfast was fantastic and so were the very attentive staff
I booked a room at Greenlands Hotel because I attended a workshop on the site. like the property for the grounds and the building.
The room was very hot and being on the ground floor I could not open the windows for ventilation.
Location is great for Henley and easy to get 850 bus down to the centre of town. Bus runs frequently and on time and can be reached quickly from the Hotel entrance. Rooms are of a good size with great linen and towels, pod coffee options, biscuits and we had a balcony which was nice given it was a hot week in Henley. Rooms have been designed to a high spec overall and shower/bathroom facilities excellent (Molton Brown). Decent onsite options for drinks, breakfast and dinner. Grounds are literally stunning.
Rooms are so energy efficient that on hot days it can be a bit stifling, even with the fans provided. Nothing to be done about this as I expect given typical English weather the airtight warmth within the room would be an added bonus at other times of year.
