Wonderful Rainforest Location!
Pros:

So nice to have some relief from the coastal heat and humidity of Costa Rica! (Off season when I was there). Simple cabins are very comfortable and cosy. Fantastic cloud forest area. David and his Father run a very special place. So relaxing I stayed an extra night :)

Trato familiar instalaciones a mejorar
Pros:

Negocio familiar
Ubicación cerca de carretera principal, pero inmersa en el valle.

Cons:

Faltaría renovar sanitarios, colchones y cambiar 4 mantas gruesas y pesadas por fundas nórdicas, así como mejorar el aislamiento térmico de las cabañas.
El surtidor funciona toda la noche y molesta para conciliar el sueño.
No pude hacer visita guiada por indisposición que había pagado en efectivo por adelantado, y no se devolvió el importe.

Pros:

Einfache, aber gemütliche Holzbungalows mit allem, was man braucht, auch die warme Dusche funktioniert prima. Gegen die Kälte von San Gerardo de Dota helfen etliche Decken und ein Heizlüfter, das hat uns völlig ausgereicht und wir sind wohlig warm geblieben. Auf dem Gelände gibt es zwei schöne Trails, die man ablaufen kann, einer davon zu einem Wasserfall (daher der Name). Das Frühstück im heimeligen Restaurant (mit Kamin!) war super, das Abendessen ebenso und dazu auch noch sehr preiswert. Dazu supersympathische Gastgeber, die alles richtig machen. Einfach nett. Extra-Tipp: Das Cafe Miriams Quetzals ganz in der Nähe. Von der Terrasse aus sieht man aus allernächster Nähe wirklich UNZÄHLIGE Kolibris und andere Vögel, es ist kaum zu glauben.

Cons:

Die Unterkunft war für unsere Zwecke perfekt. Aber San Gerardo de Dota ist außerhalb der Trockenzeit schon eine Herausforderung und eher was für echte (Vogel-)Enthuisiasten: Wir hatten auch tagsüber nur 14 Grad bei Dauerstarkregen. (Vielleicht aber auch einfach nur Pech).

Increíble
Pros:

La ubicación es espectacular, con vistas hermosas a las montañas, me encantó que tiene sus propios senderos y la pesca de truchas, ademas posee su propio restaurante

Highly recommend Las Cataratas, an excellent facility with excellent hosts!
Pros:

David and his sister are great people running a family business with their Dad. They are SO helpful, with great local knowledge. They serve really good food, and the facilities are kept very clean. The trails, birdlife and scenery were excellent. And, David was our guide who brought us to a site where we saw a pair of Quetzals near their nest. A true highlight of our entire trip to Costa Rica!

Entorno soñado
Pros:

Todo el entorno es precioso, el restaurante y el trato del personal. La habitacion era adecuada y no tuvimos frio y sobraban frazadas. La terraza/balcon ideal para tomar algo y observar los colibries. Absolutamente agradecidos con David que fue un anfitrion excelente.

Tolle Gastgeber, Kolibris im Garten, Quetzal Tour am frühen Morgen. Wirklich toll!
Pros:

Eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft! Kolibris im Garten, tolles Essen und morgens kann man mit David eine Tour machen, um den Quetzal zu sehen. Alles ist sehr familiär und liebevoll! Eine unbedingte Empfehlung!

Un lugar muy especial !
Pros:

Visite el Hotel para conocer el Quetzal, desde allí se puede planear muy bien el avistamiento. David y Verónica muy amables y muy serviciales. El Hotel tiene varios senderos muy tranquilos y tiene dos cascadas muy agradables. Recomendado el lugar. Cerca ha lugares para comer y hacer otras actividades
