Cosy cabins and a peaceful setting
Pros:

A beautiful lodge with lovely gardens. The cabins were clean and cosy. It gets chilly here, which was a welcome break from the humidity of the coast, but the cabins have plenty of blankets. In fact there were so many on my bed that I got a bit too hot! David offers a great value quetzal tour and we were able to see three birds. The staff are incredibly warm and helpful. Great breakfast available and walking distance to a couple of local restaurants. One of my favourite places that I've stayed in Costa Rica. Thank you David for all of your help!

Cons:

Without a car you are somewhat limited. The lodge can assist with taxis into the valley although these are quite pricey. The restaurant menu does not have many options, but the food is simple and filling.

Bon lodge pour une halte
Pros:

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la gentillesse de
l hôte. Très serviable. La cafetière à disposition dans la chambre avec un petit peu de café offert a été très apprécié.

Cons:

Il faisait relativement froid de la chambre. Un effort pour être fait pour proposer un moyen de chauffage plus approprié.

Great value at a great location
Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing location. Cute rustic cabin. The onsite restaurant was very good but not open eary to enjoy with the birds. Path down tothe sendero was more hazardous than the trail. Good value.

Un luogo meraviglioso
Pros:

Tutto. Il posto è meraviglioso, sicuramente il più bello che abbiamo visitato in Costa Rica. I dintorni sono meravigliosi. L'accoglienza è molto gentile e calda. Si mangia benissimo. Stra-consigliato.

Non mi è piaciuto andare via. Sarei rimasta ancora.

Wonderful Rainforest Location!
Pros:

So nice to have some relief from the coastal heat and humidity of Costa Rica! (Off season when I was there). Simple cabins are very comfortable and cosy. Fantastic cloud forest area. David and his Father run a very special place. So relaxing I stayed an extra night :)

Trato familiar instalaciones a mejorar
Pros:

Atención al cliente
Negocio familiar
Ubicación cerca de carretera principal, pero inmersa en el valle.

Cons:

Faltaría renovar sanitarios, colchones y cambiar 4 mantas gruesas y pesadas por fundas nórdicas, así como mejorar el aislamiento térmico de las cabañas.
El surtidor funciona toda la noche y molesta para conciliar el sueño.
No pude hacer visita guiada por indisposición que había pagado en efectivo por adelantado, y no se devolvió el importe.
