Pros:

Vila Planinka is a wonderful property in the heart of the Jezersko valley. The views are breathtaking, and you're just a short walk or bike ride from hiking trails and sights throughout the valley. A perfect base for anyone who loves the outdoors.

The staff at Vila Planinka made our stay truly special. Vanessa went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and every member of the team, from the front desk to the waiters, was warm, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. The chef's meals were a highlight, and the waiters made every dinner feel relaxed and personal. We felt so well taken care of the entire time, and it's rare to find a team that cares this much. We loved every one of them.

Cons:

My only complaint is the shower heads not attaching higher up to make it easier to take a full shower.

Absolutely beautiful stay , great food etc just 2 nights is enough without pool

Such a beautiful property great beds however we don’t use duvets beautiful rooms and stunning views

Cons:

Having a shower in bath is quite dangerous and it wasn’t adjustable so couldn’t stand underneath it , impossible to wash hair
Also 2 nights is enough as there is no pool , walking to lake is lovely however I wouldn’t put my big toe in water looked like algae and very unattractive cafe
So certainly wouldn’t recommend it
They ran out of 2 wines so upsold wine by glass ( should have sold at same price ) even no English breakfast tea !!! Keep good stocks in future

Geweldige lokatie met prachtig uitzicht in alle richtingen. Uitstekend ontbijt en diner. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, spreekt uitstekend Engels. Fijne kamer met prima bed en zeer schoon. Zeer gastvrije ontvangst met welkomstdrankje en uitgebreide uitleg over hotel, omgeving en bezienswaardigheden. Zeer bewust bezig met duurzame bedrijfsvoering zonder dat dit ten koste gaat van comfort en reisplezier.

Cons:

Wellness ruimte iets te klein, maximaal 5 gasten tegelijk mogelijk en vooraf reserveren noodzakelijk. Prijs van (uitstekend) diner nergens vermeld, moesten daar zelf naar vragen. Bleek prima en passend bij de kwaliteit. Wijnadvies uitstekend maar ook hier zonder vermelding van de - alleszins redelijke - prijs.. Ook zelf gevraagd maar dit is wel een punt voor verbetering, om verrassingen bij het uitchecken te voorkomen.

Ein wunderschönes und besonderes Hotel.
Hier wird Wert auf Qualität gelegt. Das merkt man in der Liebe zum Detail, die sich im gesamten Hotel widerspiegelt, als auch in der hohen Qualität der Produkte, die beim Frühstück und auch beim Abendessen angeboten werden.
Besonders hervorzuheben ist außerdem die Freundlichkeit des Personals.
Wir haben uns selten in einem Urlaub sowohl gefühlt und kommen sicher wieder.

Pros:

Wonderful stay from start to finish. The location is exceptional, with beautiful surroundings and an amazing mountain-view terrace. The hotel has a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere, the rooms are lovely, and the service was impeccable (especially Mrs Dechen who was so helpful for our hike and cycling).
We particularly enjoyed the delicious tasting-menu dinner, as well as borrowing the hotel bikes each day to explore the area. The Finnish sauna and infrared sauna were excellent too—a perfect way to unwind after a day outdoors.
Everything about our stay felt effortless and special. We could happily have stayed forever.

Traumhafte Lage, sehr originelle Zimmer, sehr viel Liebe fürs Detail, herrliche Betten, beim Frühstück dominiert Qualität vor Quantität, charmantes Hotel ….

Cons:

Wir haben es vorher gewusst und in Kauf genommen. die Zimmer haben keine Klimatisierung.

A lovely & peaceful mountain hotel only 1 hr drive from the airport
Pros:

Vila Planinka is a really special place. It’s set on the edge of the alpine meadows at Jezersko, with amazing views up to the peaks of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps.

Our room was very comfortable, with a good en-suite and a small balcony. The food is excellent – we had a delicious tasting menu one night, and on our second night they sent us to dinner at a local farm, which turned out to be a brilliant recommendation.

The team are helpful and kind. Special mention to Marco and also to Vikas on the front desk, who talked us through everything there is to do locally. We followed his advice and had some great walks. There are many good routes into the mountains from here, including the one up to the famous Češka koča, the Czech hut.

It’s only about an hour from Ljubljana airport, but it puts you straight into the mountains, and it’s wonderfully peaceful. A very good place to begin a holiday in Slovenia.

Cons:

This hotel was everything we hoped it would be!
