Nichts!
Everything! The food, the staff, the rooms. Carlos, Jose and Facundo were amazing the whole time. My wife and I loved this place and hope to definitely return here. 10 out of 10, recommend.
I loved everything. Not one thing I didn't like.
Absolutely beautiful property. Very secluded and serene. Staff was so amazing, friendly and accommodating. I was feeling altitude sickness and they provided oxygen and assisted with luggage, etc.
The view & rooms were amazing, staff extremely accommodating
The dinner at the restaurant was also a highlight
Nothing
All exceptional
The view, the coziness, the calme
PERSONAL SIEMPRE A DISPOSICIÓN, ATENTOS
DEBERÍA TENER UN POCO MÁS DE VARIEDAD LA CARTA
The location was breathtaking, high up a mountain, surrounded by other mountains. The room was fabulous. There is a small farm on site and you can feed the animals. The staff were very friendly.
Tudo muito diferente e especial, localização incrível, vista maravilhosa.
Chuveiro sem box no meio da jacuzzi
Le personnel vraiment très attentif
Une chambre vu mur……. Extrêmement décevante
Great view and animal farm, NOTHING ELSE!
We are a very well traveled couple in our 70s, we try always to be "generous" with our reviews. The driver to take us to the hotel was not waiting for us at the train station; we found the car with the hotel logo 100 mts uphill from the station. The driver claimed the hotel should have informed us about the meeting point which never happened. The hotel confirmed that they did not notify us.
Upon arrival we were directed to our room. Right away we noticed that the safe had its key missing; we informed to one of the male receptionist and he said that he will get to our room momentarily to help us. He never came back. We also noticed the room lacked toiletries and robes while listed as included in our room. After 1hr, I went up to the reception to ask again to the same person about the key; he acted like it was something new to him. At this point another receptionist (Raul, perhaps the supervisor) explained to me that the key was missing because the previous guest forgot to return it and we would have to get by without a safe.
I informed Raul of the other missing toiletries/robes we expected to have in our room. He then asked a female receptionist the items be brought to our room right away. After waiting 1 hr I went back to the reception and asked the same lady about the items. She informed me that since the room did not have a jacuzzi we did not qualified for robes and if we wanted them we NEEDED TO PAY AN EXTRA FEE (??!!)
The next day we expected our room to be cleaned upon return late from our tour, but it was not. I questioned it and was told that housekeeping needed our permission to get into the room to clean it. We were never asked about such permission by anyone at check-in!
Regarding breakfast: although the food is good, the options are limited to 2.
It seems to us that this hotel is run by either incompetent or dishonest personnel.
In summary, overpriced for the service and comfort provided as well as the hotel category they depict to be.
This location is magical - truly wish we had another night to just enjoy. As it was - we got to star-gaze in the Andes. It was an unforgettable experience.
The rate we were charged on site was $100 more than the rate shown on Booking.com. Not sure why there was a difference but the experience was still well worth the money.
Only the views.
This review is strictly for the customer service and hotel, not the views (those are incredible).
Communication was very hard, everything has to be preplanned. While the Sol y Luna room was cute and had charm, our overall experience was disappointing.
The biggest issue with the room was the bathroom smell—it was quite terrible and unpleasant throughout our stay. In addition, the room gets extremely hot in the morning once the sun starts shining, which made it uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, the dinner experience was even more disappointing. We were told in advance that we could choose anything from the menu, but when we arrived, the server immediately tried to place soup in front of us before we had even ordered. When we explained that we hadn’t ordered yet, she reluctantly took it back.
I ordered the corn cream soup and the first ceviche. A few minutes later, the server returned with quinoa soup instead, saying they didn’t have the corn soup. I explained that this was unacceptable considering the $30 price point and reiterated that I wanted what I had originally ordered. She walked away, and I assumed they would prepare the correct dish.
About 50 minutes later, the ceviche finally arrived. It was extremely salty and lacked any balance—there was no sweet potato or anything to offset the saltiness, and the dry corn served with it made the dish even more underwhelming.
I was still expecting the soup I ordered, but instead dessert was brought to the table. When I asked why I never received my soup, I was told it might have been “too heavy” for my stomach. As a 41-year-old woman, I can decide for myself what I want to eat, and I found that response inappropriate and frustrating.
The dessert itself was also very underwhelming—small, forgettable, and nothing special at all.
We spoke with another table nearby, and they shared that they had a similar experience where food was simply placed in front of them without ordering.
Pięknie położony obiekt, fantastyczne widoki, spacerujące po tarasie alpaki i latające kolibry (-: Czysta przyroda!
Nic, wszystko zgodne z opisem.
