Man skal være klar over, at der ikke er pool og at stranden er tom for vand ca 50 meter ud over koraller osv ca 50% af dagen.
We stayed at the resort for four nights. The staff is outstanding – friendly and helpful. From the waiters, bartender, receptionist, cooks, the elderly man who takes care of the garden, to the students on internship. They put a lot of effort into making guests feel comfortable, while remaining unobtrusive and attentive.
The location of the resort is very good, although the east side is significantly better for snorkeling at high tide than the west side.
The surroundings of the bungalows are beautiful, and the staff maintains the cleanliness and vegetation exceptionally well. The apartment is clean; it is serviced daily. We only ate in their restaurant because the food was sufficiently varied and very tasty – for our taste. They also rent bicycles and electric scooters. It is also possible to go on a snorkeling boat trip with them as a private tour – go as early in the morning as possible. Good Wi-Fi on the beach and in the restaurant.
Overall, the staff, location, and garden deserve a rating of 10, but....
We were quite disappointed with the bungalow itself. The pictures in the advertisement were more attractive…
The owners of the resort, from Northern Europe, could invest a bit in upgrading the apartment facilities: basic bathroom equipment – shower head, toilet seat, a tiler to fix tiles and grout in the corners, better lighting in the room, torn mosquito nets… Very poor Wi-Fi inside the apartment. These are things that should be properly arranged given the price of the apartment rental. These are not issues the staff can resolve; the owner simply needs to reinvest part of the profit. For this part, the rating is 6.
Not to mention the swing in the sea, which is in need of a thorough renovation… starting with replacing the broken letters.
Le cadre extérieur était magnifique. Sur la plage, équipée de petite cabane pour le petits dej et les repas. Beau coucher de soleil.
Nous avons fait 3 bungalows différents. 2/3 étaient assez vétustes et vieillissants. Manque de finition. Douche laissant à désirer… c’est vraiment dommage car le cadre est idyllique. Mais le rapport qualité/prix n’est pas au rendez-vous du tout.
Honestly the best accommodation we found on the island. Right on the beach. Beautiful setting under a canopy of trees and vegetation. Great food, good cocktails and the staff are super friendly! Comfy rooms with all you need. Perfect sunsets.
A pool would be amazing as it’s quite rocky in the sea so one can dip but not really swim and enjoy is like the other side.
El lugar es idílico, el personal atento y muy amable. Hay que destacar que la zona de playa de mesas y hamacas es para mí la mejor de la Isla, por su comodidad y la versatilidad entre zonas de sol y sombra integradas en el paisaje. Si volviera a las Gili, sin duda volvería aquí.
The garden was well kept and the hammock was a nice touch
We were in a superior room which turned out to be the basic entry level room. It was really small. After 1 night we managed to move to a deluxe room which was a bit bigger.
The gardens outside the bungalows/duplexes were beautifully maintained, but the rooms were less rustic island charm and were just shabby. The bathroom door does not shut so you have to bolt it inside and bolt it outside.
The rooms had ridiculously low hanging light fittings either side of the bed, so you’d bang some part of yourself when getting in or out of bed!
Breakfast was average although the fresh pineapple juice was very delicious.
Having walked round the whole island (about an hour and 15 mins), the beach in front of the hotel was perhaps the least attractive stretch of beach we came across, especially in low tide.
The ‘island view Gili Air’ sign above the swing in the water has a few letters missing which also gave the property an unloved feel about it.

Muy amables para hacer el desayuno temprano, muy puntuales.
Cuando baja la marea te quedas sin playa (en nuestro caso era toda la tarde). Con el calor que hace y sin playa echas de menos una piscina.

Viele tote Korallen am Strand, so das man ohne Schuhe nicht ins Wasser konnte, ab Mittag war Ebbe, kleines Bett, Bungalow sehr dunkel und klein, kein Föhn, kein Fernseher, Frühstück relativ eintönig
C’est un endroit très calme , nous avons passé un super séjour . Très bien placé pour voir des magnifiques coucher de soleil. On est les pieds dans le sable .
Tommy at reception and the crew at the BBQ and the bar were all fantastic, very friendly and excellent service.
Bungalow in general was nice, with rustic features. Room servicing was good and unobtrusive.
Some tea and coffee facilities in the bungalows would be great for earlybirds as nothing was available before 07:30.
The mosquito canopy on our bed was rather stained, dirty and ineffective. I managed to contract Chikungunya by the last day :( I won't hold that against you, but perhaps you should provide some bug spray in the rooms too.
