The pools and sea shore facilities and the swimming in the bay wich was amazing
The breakfast & dinner was mostlety very good .
The shower was small and the water heat was not stable.
The perfect example of Greek philoxenia!
This was our second family holiday here, and once again it reminded us why we keep coming back. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are genuinely kind and welcoming, and everything is so well looked after.
We're already hoping to book again for next summer and honestly, we wouldn't change a thing. Thank you for another wonderful stay!
Amazing hotel with a beautiful beach! We were pleasantly surprised when we were given a complimentary room upgrade, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Everything was excellent, and we would definitely love to come back. Highly recommended!
מיקום מעולה קום נח ומפנק
Beautiful accommodation, friendly staff and high-level service.
Highly recommend Elounda Bay Palace.
Thank you so much, see you again at the earliest opportunity!
Чудесный отель. Из года в год не перестаем радоваться.
Нет недочетов.
Ubicacion
Mobiliario e instalaciones muy antiguas . No corresponden para nada a un hotel de 5 estrellas
Pools are nice (for kids as well) - a lot of sunbeds available
Hotel staff is kind
Easy to go around the resort with the buggy
Food quality is poor for the buffet restaurant
The sea is quite dirty with a lot of plastic etc.. coming from the boats (not the hotel fault but they could try to clean it)
Le personnel était très agréable à l’écoute
Un peu vieillot
This was our second visit to Elounda Bay Palace Hotel and we were so pleased to be back. We could only afford to stay for a couple of nights but you have to see the price as being for a whole experience and not just the cost of the room.
The resort is so beautifully maintained and has the monopoly on the lovely sandy beaches in this area around Elounda. The grounds are planted with stunning flowers, palms and cacti etc and come the evening the paths are lit so that the place becomes truly magical. You have access to the facilities of Both EBPH and its sister hotel next door with 4 different beaches to choose from. There are several bars and speciality restaurants (with additional costs) to choose from as well as the main restaurant included in the half board room cost. Our favourite bar was Veghera positioned across a little causeway out over the sea, a stunning place to watch the moon rise at night.
There is a little Greek village in the middle of the resort with a charming old chapel, a couple of shops and a Greek taverna where they hold a Greek night buffet with a band and dancing (Tuesdays?). I normally hate this sort of thing at a hotel but this was a class act with a great band and talented dancers. Worth investing in.
The staff at the hotel are all so friendly and helpful. I am sure it’s company policy but the staff manage to seem genuine in their cheerfulness. The attention to detail is fantastic. Special thanks to the waitress at Veghera bar.
We had a Mountain View room on the 4th floor and the rooms have everything you could want and are extremely comfortable (slippers, robes, coffee maker, proper glassware etc). We were welcomed with a complimentary bottle of wine and fruit bowl. The bed and bedding was divine.
I appreciated the many different lighting options but will say the switches became very complicated and could do with labelling or a guide.
The main restaurant can feel a bit canteen like and meal times are very ridged I.e food is cleared bang on the cut off point so don’t cut it fine turning up for breakfast.
Not the hotel’s fault at all, but a very sad reflection on the state of our seas, on one of the small beaches when the winds blew from a certain direction an alarming amount of plastic rubbish was washed up on the shores and floating in the water. When the winds changed it would all disappear again. I will say the staff did a valiant job trying to keep on top of this by raking the shore line but when it’s at its worst they really need to get in the shallows with their net and scoop the larger pieces directly from the water. I pulled large quantiles out myself and really wanted to ask to borrow their net!
