Coole Unterkunft
Pros:

Mein Sohn war im Meeresschutz auf Nusa Penida tätig und wir haben ihn sozusagen als Familie abgeholt und uns in der Unterkunft getroffen, da sie nahe am Fähranleger nach Nusa Penida liegt. Schon vor Beginn hat die Kommunikation mit Bagus gut funktioniert und uns ein Fahrer vom Flughafen -mit Namensschild wartend :-)- abgeholt. Wir haben umgerechnet 20 Euro für die Fahrt vom Flughafen bezahlt und NICHT Grab unterstützt! Die Unterkunft ist sehr geschmackvoll und schön im Surferstil eingerichtet, schon der Eingangsbereich ist toll gestaltet und der Pool war, nach dem langen Flug, eine tolle Erfrischung. Fußläufig sind gute Restaurants erreichbar als auch Warungs. Am nächsten Morgen sind wir für umgerechnet 5 Euro zum Fähranleger gebracht worden und hatten einen tollen Einstieg in unsere Indonesienrundreise im Surfer Garden. Und 18 Euro die Nacht für ein DZ bei Genius 3: bei dem Standard unschlagbar!

Cons:

Es ist etwas hellhörig, aber das ist in Indonesien normal.

Great value budget stay in sanur with a relaxed local vibe 🌴
Pros:

Surfer Garden Hotel offers excellent value for budget-conscious travellers looking for a comfortable base in Sanur. The atmosphere is a little like a backpackers, but with the privacy of your own room, making it ideal for solo travellers or couples.

The staff were warm, friendly, and always happy to help. The pool area was lovely and provided a great place to relax after a day exploring Bali, while the hammocks added to the laid-back tropical vibe. The room featured an enormous bed, and there were plenty of local conveniences nearby, including affordable massages, restaurants, and small shops.

One of the things we enjoyed most was staying amongst the local community rather than in a busy tourist strip. It felt authentic, safe, and gave us a glimpse into everyday life in Sanur. For travellers looking for a budget-friendly stay with good facilities and a relaxed atmosphere, this hotel is a solid choice.

Cons:

While we enjoyed our stay overall, there were a few areas that could be improved quite easily.

The biggest issue was the comfort of the bed. Although it was very large, the mattress was extremely firm, and the pillows, bedding, and blanket felt quite basic. Upgrading the linen and pillows would make a significant difference to guest comfort.

There was also an issue with the air-conditioning unit dripping water into the shower area, which appeared to be causing mould. This seems like it could be resolved with a simple drainage solution and some maintenance.

The location may not suit everyone. The hotel sits amongst local residential streets and is around a 15-minute walk to the beach, requiring guests to cross several busy roads. Because of this, we wouldn't particularly recommend it for families with young children. There are also large power lines nearby, and during our stay there was occasional loud music coming from a nearby garage area.

That said, none of these issues ruined our stay. With a few relatively simple improvements, particularly to the bedding and air-conditioning maintenance, Surfer Garden Hotel could offer an even better experience while still remaining excellent value for money.

Pros:

Tout était parfait. C’est un endroit vraiment agréable dans lequel on se sent bien.
Nous aurions pu sans problème passer encore plusieurs jours ici. La chambre est propre et confortable, le personnel est juste adorable et serviable. Une de nos meilleures expériences à Bali

A pochi minuti di motorino dal mare (quindi anche dal porto) e da ristoranti, la mia stanza a Surfer Garden era meravigliosa e avrei voluto trascorrerci più di una notte.
Letto enorme, wifi veloce, stanza pulita, bagno di un certo stile naturale, piscina pulita, ambiente rilassante, per nulla caotico o rumoroso.
Ho amato il mio soggiorno qui, anche se breve.
Bagus è stato gentilissimo, cordiale, disponibile.
Consiglio al 100% questo posto

Heerlijk ruime kamer en badkamer. Het zwembad was ook heel fijn. Lekkere plek om even bij te komen.
