Cucu House

Kadek the owner was very welcoming and friendly and professional too. Really liked our welcome when we arrived. The room was very spacious for two people and the bathroom looked like it had been recently updated. Very, neat, clean and tidy. The room was especially clean and very well-maintained in terms of painting and fixtures and fittings. The big verandah out front was great too. And the place was very, very quiet, set well-back from the street but still well-positioned conveniently near Cafe Vespa (just 2 mins walk away), coffee shops, taxi rank, the mini-mart and a money changer. All within a few minutes walk. Such a great location.
The room we had was a bit dark as there were no real windows (the two windows on either side of the door were covered in the beautiful wooden carvings of the doors but let very little light in as a result). But we did notice there were other rooms with big windows so those sorts of rooms are available if anyone needs a room with lots of light. If you are out doing things during the day then it doesn't really matter if the room doesn't have a lot of natural light of course. Just mentioning this if it is an issue for anyone. It wasn't for us for our visit. And some people might prefer a room that is darker, better for sleeping in!

Beautiful room inside a typical balinese family block. It feels a very local experience. Comfy and large bed, nice open bathroom and wonderful outdoor area where you can enjoy breakfast which is provided. Wonderful couple who host you. I'd definitely go back there.

It was quiet, peaceful and the staff and other people saying here were so nice. It was very clean and felt like home. Also the breakfast was the best I’ve had in Bali!

I really liked the location. There was a jungle path 5 minutes away, a yoga stuid, supermarkets and cafes, as well as the busy street of Penestanan within 10 min walking distance. I loved my stay here.
