I will not go back
Pros:

The house was quaint and loaded with antiquities. I love antique pieces and spent a little time studying them. Everyone was friendly

Cons:

The perception I had of the property based on the images shown on the website was quite different from the reality. I realized I was disappointed as soon as I entered the property.

The property could have been cleaner, less cluttered, and better maintained overall. In particular, the photo on the website showing the “typical breakfast” served was misleading and did not reflect the actual experience.

The guest house is rated as a 3-star property; however, in my opinion, it did not meet the standards expected of a 3-star establishment. An unmade bed in another room remained visible for several days after the previous guest had departed, which reflected poorly on housekeeping standards.

Overall, professionalism and attention to detail appeared to be lacking.

Un bel endroit pour séjourner à Mombai et se reposer après une visite trépidante de la ville !
Pros:

Belle maison portugaise ancienne, cadre original dans une maison familiale, l'employé de maison incroyablement serviable! L'endroit est bien situé pour visiter Mombai et surtout il est calme, un luxe pour Mombai ! Excellent petit-déjeuner !

Cons:

La difficulté à accéder au lieu en raison de travaux, le prix quelque peu élevé pour une chambre sans salle de bain privative.

Charming Home Away from Home in Mumbai ✨
Pros:

I had a very beautiful stay here. Truly feels like a home away from home. The space is full of charm, and there’s a deep sense of warmth that makes you feel instantly welcome and safe. It’s one of those rare places where you can really exhale and settle in.

The team made all the difference. Priyanka, Pandu, and Zubair are incredibly caring, attentive, and genuinely committed to making your stay as comfortable as possible. You can feel their heart in the details.

James, the owner, adds a special touch to the experience, he has the most wonderful stories and brings a unique character to the house.

I would absolutely recommend this as one of the best places to stay in Mumbai.

Cons:

Only small suggestion I would offer is that having fresh new sets of sheets in each room would elevate the experience even more, as the current ones felt a little worn. Such a simple upgrade would really match the beauty of everything else.

It was truly an oasis and a place of calm and reflection after our hectic tour of India . I would highly recommend it

Amazing!
Pros:

I had a great time staying at the Ferreiras. Loved everything, the vibe of the house (its like living in a beautifully curated museum) and the neighborhood. Felt totally at home. James was very welcoming and entertaining host. James is a designer and has a beautiful shop upstairs and by opening his family house to guests gives back to the community. Thanks so much also to Pandu and Priyanka. Would be happy to stay again! Anna ps. I would say this is for people who enjoy a different /more authentic experience than a standard hotel.

Cons:

Liked everything. Some advice would be to take earplugs as Mumbai streets can be loud.

L’ospite e il personale davvero disponibili e gentili. Buona la posizione per raggiungere varie parti della città. Ottima colazione.

Il bagno in comune che però era sempre molto pulito, e il prezzo che era un po’ alto ma credo che sia una caratteristica comune di molti alloggi in Mumbai

Pandu is een topper!
Pros:

Locatie is op loopafstand van metro en strand in een rustige buurt. Het is een oud en karakteristiek gebouw. Pandu, een van de medewerkers, is erg behulpzaam en attent en wil alles doen om het je naar de zin te maken.

Cons:

Hoewel bekend was, dat we een douche/wc moesten delen, vonden we de plaats ervan, bij de gemeenschappelijke ruimte onvrij. Bovendien is de kamer klein en het bed vrij smal. Alles overziend vonden we de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding dan ook niet goed.
