L’établissement donne sur la mer, la vue mer de la chambre est très agréable
Cependant nous entendons donc la mer toute la nuit qui est assez bruyante, de plus la salle de bain laisse une forte odeur dans la chambre. Et le petit déjeuner n’est pas compris dans le prix.
Amazing location at the beautiful jemeluk bay, amazing ocean sunrise view and best snorkeling spot in Amed (imo) in front of the door. Lovely staff that make delicious food. Some rooms have better working ACs than others and sometimes the bathroom can have some odeur. My place to be when I come to Amed, fully recommend.
I believe Sunrise only has three rooms, and we booked all three. Every room has a lovely view over the ocean and bay, with the most amazing sunrise!
The rooms are basic, with a bed, private bathroom and air conditioning. The bathrooms are a little dated, but for the price, I honestly have no complaints.
The family were all so helpful and were lovely hosts. Sadly, there was a big swell and the sea was very rough during our stay, so we weren’t able to do the snorkelling tour we had hoped for. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have hesitated to go out with Nyoman.
We also had all our washing done while we were there. It was a good price and ready very quickly.
When we were paying at the end of our stay, I accidentally left my camera on the desk. They called me as soon as they realised to let me know, which I really appreciated.
If you’re happy with basic accommodation and great service, I would 100% recommend Sunrise. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location. We often walked to the other side of the bay as it has sun loungers which are free to use and calmer water to snorkel but it’s not far to get to.
I didn’t realise how walkable everything was here - easy to get into the town or up to sunset view although we did hire a scooter from a place a few days down to get around for a few days
I missed having a lamp and a kettle - although I did ask for hot water a few evenings and was no problem for them
Doors are hard to lock but it’s in a homestay and does feel really safe

We loved staying at Sunrise Cafe, the view was beautiful, the beds were comfortable and had a big mozzie net, Nyoman was a fantastic host and his family cooked us so much amazing food. They had lovely pets and many many wonderful bonsai trees. We did the fishing and snorkelling trip with Nyoman, it was great value for money and we saw lots of fish, coral, turtles, rays and even a baby white tip reef shark.
Sunrise wasn’t a fancy place but an authentic home stay that made us feel welcome and at home in Amed.

I stayed here for two weeks, which gave me a good impression of both the positives and the negatives.
The best things were the beautiful sea view, being able to walk straight into the water for snorkeling, the comfortable bed, and the restaurant, which served good food.
Unfortunately, staying here for more than a few days is difficult. My room was not cleaned during my stay, and I had to keep asking for toilet paper, which was often given reluctantly. After one week I asked to move rooms because I had a gecko, a cockroach, and a rat that kept running back and forth across my balcony. Fortunately, after moving to the other side of the building, I no longer had problems with the rat.
I deliberately waited before writing this review so I could compare it with other places in Bali. Yes, this accommodation is extremely affordable, and I understand that the owners are doing their best. However, in my opinion it does not deserve the current 8.3 rating on Booking.com. I also discovered that the price they asked for their snorkeling trip was much higher than other providers in the area.
Because the price is so low, I am giving it 5/10. Even so, it was a disappointing introduction to Bali for me.

The place is famous for catching the breathtaking sunrise right out of your bed or spacious balcony, and it's truly stunning. Very comfy bed with moskito net and functioning AC, which is necessary in the heat.
The bathroom was just ok with a rather dodgy mat. It is a tiny room, especially for Bali's generous standards.
The owners should consider providing accessible water refills for guests, payable if necessary - it's only 25k for 20 litres! I got some but had to buy extra plastic bottles.
