Pros:

Devi und Ari sind einfach sehr herzliche Persönlichkeiten. Egal ob es darum geht den Tag zu planen, einen Transfer zu organsieren oder den nächste Kopi zu trinken, die zwei sind immer ansprechbar. Besonders lohnenswert - Devi's self made Pizza und Sauerteigbrot. Nach 2 Wochen Nasi Goreng ein echtes Geschmackshighlight.

Cons:

Baru sampai disambut dengan lolongan anjing, lokasi seperti dikandang binatang, lokasi berbau kotoran anjinh, kotoran kucing, banyak sampah dari mulai gerbang masuk sampai ke kamar, kamar seperti hampir roboh, bau debu, jendela tidak bisa ditutup, jembatan menuju kamar juga rusak tidak bisa dilewati, intinya tidak ada yang bagus dari tempat ini.
Dibandingkan dengan harga penginapan sekitar lokasi harga 288rb tidak sesuai dengan tempat yg disediakan, untuk rumah yg hampir roboh

Pros:

Great spot easy walk to waterfall. Breakfast good and hot water available just bring own coffee tea bags.

Cons:

You would need your own transport to find a place to eat.small local shop to buy biscuits or pack of noodles. Owners might cook something up for you. Dogs barking throughout the day and night.

Great conversation, food, puppies and kittens, but run down.

I want to make this an honest review as this place is unusual and if you come expecting it to be perfect, you will be disappointed.

Devi is an exceptional host. She is a professor of agriculture at a local university and her passion for the natural world is evident throughout the homestead. She is a thoughtful and excellent cook - her homemade pizza is something else, with a light and crispy base, as is her homemade bread. She is an interesting conversationalist - spend sometime talking with her and find out about Muslim culture, local and national politics, thoughts, beliefs and traditions.

The place is clean and it is ramshackle and in need of repair. It’s basic, but within the (lower) average range of other places I’ve stayed in across Sumatra in this price bracket. The toilet seat is not fixed to the toilet, the mattress is memory foam and heavily sagging on one side (sleep on the other side).

The animals are well cared for; while the adult dogs are tied up when Devi’s husband isn’t around (from what I could tell), they have kennels the size of small houses. I always find it distressing to see birds in cages and I recognise that this is usual practice throughout SE Asia, as it was in the UK up until about 40 or 50 years ago.

The location is great, within 10 minutes walk of the waterfalls and swimming ponds but at weekends it’s noisy with large groups of local tourists having far too much fun 😉.

Yes, there are cheaper, better maintained properties that may be more comfortable but if you stay here, come for the experience of a true local Homestay with a charming, intelligent host and excellent

Loved the place. Everything was wonderful about the stay. The owners Devi and Ari were great, spent a lot of time chatting and laughing with Devi. Couldn't recommend the place more highly.

Bon emplacement, bel accueil mais confort et propreté à revoir.
Pros:

L’emplacement et la vue du deuxième étage sur les cascade, l’hôte parle très bien anglais et nous a super bien accueillie. Les brioches maison du matin sont excellentes merci!

Cons:

La propreté n’était pas au rendez-vous, et les chiens ont aboyé toute la nuit nous empêchant de dormir après une longue route épuisante.
Des fruits ou jus de fruits auraient été les bienvenus pour accompagner le petit déjeuner.

Geschikt voor een kleiner budget.
Pros:

Accommodatie had een heel mooi uitzicht. De eigenaresse was heel vriendelijk en stond voor ons klaar.

Cons:

Tijdens de regen waren de paden naar de huisjes onbegaanbaar geworden. Minder geschikt voor toeristen die meer luxe zijn gewend.

Good stay if you are looking for quite & attach with nature.
Pros:

When I am choosing the accommodation, I am preferred local/ kampung vibe. So this stay up to my expectation.
Devi and her husband Ari is very good host & owner. We received warm welcome from both of them and feel like home.
Most of the plants & tree around the stay eatable & the couple planted it by themself. We got plenty info about the plants as well :). Good stay & will stay there again once we come back.

Super cadre, bon équipement, scooter disponible pour explorer la vallée
Davy et sa fille sont incroyablement gentilles et intéressantes, elles ont tout fait pour rendre notre séjour parfait, nous ont aidé pour nos déplacements, nos activités! Elles sont de super cuisinières on s’est régalé !
