Great host, very comfortable accommodation in a terrific setting. Great value for money.
Pros:

Mike is a warm, generous and delightful host. The facility is excellent. After a business life of endless hotel nights, my stay at Mike's was a greatly welcomed change. My room was very comfortable, and offered all I needed for my stay. I felt welcomed and enjoyed my chats with Mike. If I were to return to Vancouver I would stay again without hesitation. Thank you Mike.
The location is perfect. Great coffee and breakfast within 2 minutes walk, (you need to know that it's vegan) and a high quality food hall and the Skytrain into the downtown and the airport only a 10 minute walk away.

Cons:

There was nothing not to like.

Prima verblijf en uitstekende verbinding naar de toeristische trekpleisters.
Pros:

Het verblijf is uitstekend gelegen op slechts een paar minuten wandelen van het treinstation op de Canadalijn. Op dezelfde plaats is er een busverbinding naar het museum van antropologie. De kamer was schoon, het bed comfortabel en de badkamer en suite. Het onthaal was heel hartelijk. Mike vertelde ons wat er in de buurt te doen was en waar we inkopen konden doen. Om de hoek zit een leuke zaak waar je lekker kunt ontbijten. Het Elizabeth park is op het einde van de straat.

Cons:

Het bubbel bad werkte niet.

Unable to check in because the host was unavailable and unresponsive.

Unfortunately, I never got the opportunity to stay at the property.

Cons:

Very disappointing experience. The host told me I needed to call when I arrived because he had to let me into the property. I called and texted him before arriving and again while I was standing at the door, but he did not answer or show up. After waiting more than 15 minutes, I had no choice but to leave and make other arrangements for the night. He contacted me about an hour later, when it was already too late. This caused unnecessary stress, wasted my time, and seriously disrupted my night and travel plans. I would not recommend this host based on my experience.

Pros:

Very friendly helpful host, room was very clean, modern and in excellent condition. The bed was very comfortable and great linens. Appears to be recently renovated or just in great shape. The home has air conditioning but there are large windows in my upstairs double room that you can open to let in fresh air if it gets too warm. Bathroom fixtures and bathtub are all in excellent condition. Very well located in terms of transit being a 10 minute walk or less to the Canada line which takes you straight downtown or straight to Richmond or connects to the expo line at the waterfront downtown. A big advantage if you don't have a car or better yet if you're going downtown not to have to deal with parking. I didn't have any problem with free street parking in front of the home.

Cons:

The bathroom has two pocket doors. Obviously the pocket door to the next room is locked both ways, but it leaves something to be desired in terms of soundproofing. That's just a reality of it being a house and only a pocket door separating the bathroom from the next bedroom. With my door to the bathroom closed it's okay as long as the other party is not talking loudly or making excessive noise. There's no TVs so that is good. The sky train station is at the oak ridge place mall, less than 10 minute walk, and the mall has a food court with local restaurants running the establishments rather than the usual chain restaurants. A safeway is opening soon. The downside is there are few other restaurants within walking distance. Maybe they'll be more in Oakridge place as it fully opens. There is a coffee shop on the corner by the house, and a good Vietnamese place just kitty corner to Oak Ridge Place.

Zimmer im 1. Stock seines Hauses, Queensize-Bett 1,50 m breit. Zimmer mit Bad mit Badewanne. Duschgel, Föhn, Handtücher lagen bereit. Ventilator. Kühlschrank. Wasserkocher vorhanden. Zimmer waren sauber. Unterkunft in ruhiger Nebenstraße. 5 min zu U-Bahn Oakridge 41St.
Unterkunft gerne wieder.

Zimmertür typisch amerikanisch, primitives Schloss, kein Safe auf dem Zimmer

Det var ett bra område. Frokosten var snål.

Cons:

Värden och annonsen var felaktiga - det är inte ett rum för tre personer. Sängen är för två personer, men tredje person fick ligga på en madrass på golvet. Det är inte 'tre personers rum' som annonseras.

👌 casa cerca del metro
Pros:

Me encantó la ubicación, esta a unas cuadras del metro, eso lo hace ideal, en cuanto a la limpieza super limpia la habitación y baño.
Mike una persona siempre atenta y al pendiente. El acceso a la entrada muy bueno. El jardin muy bonito. Hay una cafetería a la esquina. Y nadie comenta del mall a un lado de la estación del metro que es nuevo y muy grande, con muchas áreas de comida y muy moderno .No me pude quedar en mejor casa qué la de Mike. La recomiendo y claro que me volvería a quedar ahi. Aparte llegas al downtown en 10min a lo mucho.

Not worth paying $900

The basement suit was spacious.

Cons:

1. I wanted to extend the check out time for a couple of hours because of the flight but Mr. Mike wanted to charge me extra money for it. In the email it says- if you want to extend the check out hours, please inform them a day earlier so that they can accommodate, but I guess it can only be accommodated after paying which to me was a surprise. I paid CAD 900 for 4 nights. Mr. Mike was explaining a lot about cleaning agents, timing for their arrival, etc, in the phone call but to me it didn't make any sense. I was hoping they would consider extending the check out hours if I inform them a day earlier but it's all about money.

2. The house is a bit dusty, I could see the dirt/dust stick under my socks. Mr. Mike talks about cleaning agents but I guess the agent doesn't clean it properly.

3. In the picture the house looks good and attractive but in real it's broken and old. Front and back yard over grown of plants and weeds. Looks like they haven't maintained for 6 months plus.

4. The main entrance door knob is broken.

Pros:

Located a short walk from the commuter train into the city centre. The particular room I had was massive and had an en suite bathroom. The host was friendly and helpful, he walked with me to the local pharmacy as I had come down with a cold while travelling.
