Tiu Kelep Homestay

We did the three days and two Nights Trip on the Mount Rinjani and stayed for the first night and one night After Trip at Tiu‘s. It was the perfect choice, he knew everything about the hike and what we needed. The headlamp and sticks everything you need he has it and just to be clear if he says you need a jacket up there, it is so because we didn‘t believe him and it was freezing up there. The Transport to the homestay and the transport to the next location was also managed by him. But the Most important thing is, he is such a funny and nice person and helps you where it is possible.

Very nice room, good aircon and wifi and lovely hosts, you stay with the family in their small village and everyone is so sweet and helpfull. Breakfast was amazing and so was the dinner i orderd. I stayed the night before my flight, recommended!

For just €7 per night, I really wasn’t expecting much. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised. The accommodation is very simple and basic, but it was very clean, and the surroundings made me feel like I was in the middle of the jungle.

What truly turned this stay into a 4-star experience was Yakub. Hotel managers should come and learn from him. He is a true professional who knows exactly what he is doing. He guided me to the waterfalls, took us to the rice fields in the evening (places where tourists don’t normally go), showed us a beautiful sunset, and his family prepared a traditional dinner for us there, which was absolutely delicious.

He was incredibly positive, helpful, and asked countless times whether everything was okay and if we needed anything. Just because of him alone, I would definitely love to come back to this place again. I recommend it 1000%!

I stayed in room 1 on the top of the three terraced levels. The view into the garden is amazing. I loved listening to the birds and looking at the lush plants right outside my door. The entrance to the falls is literally across the street from the property courtyard.

Tiu Kelep Homestay was a good find. Our comfortable room (Room 2) had a great view over the lovely garden. The shower had hot water! Very close to Gates 1 and 2 (20,000 Rp entrance fee) to the waterfalls trek. An easy walk to the nearby Traditional Village (local products on sale and/or donation welcomed). A good choice of inexpensive warungs in this part of the village. Host Yacob is a good laugh, enjoying his Cockney impersonations for English guests.

Nous y avons passé 2 nuits avant le trek pour le Rinjani et 2 nuits après. Cadre super, endroit calme, chambre confortable avec douche avec de l’eau chaude (je me permets de préciser car ce n’est pas le cas partout), extérieur donnant sur un jardin, emplacement idéal et nous avons passé un excellent séjour grâce à notre hôte Yakub. Il est d’une extrême gentillesse et sympathie et nous a organisé nos transports depuis et vers Bangsal.
Je recommande à 100%. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter si nous sommes de passage à Senaru.

Had a great stay here! The owner was extremely friendly, kind, and helpful during my whole trip. He helped me book an affordable and excellent trip to Mount Rinjani, took me by motorbike to rent hiking shoes, and helped me complete all my gear for the hike. He also took me to the beautiful Tue Kalap waterfall. Very welcoming and easy to talk to. And honestly, the best tea I had during my time in Indonesia was here. Highly recommended!

Really nice host and the rooms were clean and modern.
We booked the Rinjani trekking through the homestay and everything was well organized.
The Host also took us on a tour to the waterfalls and the rice fields which were soo beautiful!
He also had the best video and foto skills😝
