Friendly Host, but Know What to Expect

The hostess was kind and welcoming, and we appreciated her hospitality.

Cons:

However, the room was extremely small, with very limited space for luggage or moving around.

It's also worth knowing before you book that one bathroom and toilet are shared between four rooms. There is also a large but very friendly dog in the house, which is worth keeping in mind if you have allergies or are uncomfortable around dogs.

This place may suit some travellers well, but it's good to know these details in advance.

Bel emplacement

Cons:

Partage de salle de bain avec d'autres voyageurs
On a dû se débrouiller seules pour le petit dej qui n'a rien de folichon moins copieux qu'à la maison (yaourt Lidl, confiture Lidl, jus de fruits Lidl je dis pas que leur produit son pas bon mais on s'attendait à un vrai petit déjeuner copieux pour le prix.

Die Ruhe, die sehr schöne Lage von Hollybanks, die gute Busverbindung in beide Richtungen, sowohl Galway als auch Clifden.

A lovely leaf quiet stay
Pros:

This is a lovely house in a quiet leafy location. My room had a gorgeous leafy outlook onto trees, and a huge window, which I loved. Jane was both helpful and hospitable while also being not at all intrusive and respecting my privacy.
The village has a good selection of casual restaurants and takeaway food options, and a brand new Lidl.

Cons:

Gotta say I would not have enjoyed that room during very hot weather because, although it has a huge window, only two tiny sections of it opened. But they are not screened and midges might come in on still warm days and evenings. Which means keeping the windows closed and no cool/fresh air - at least in the room I had.
This is a great place to stay if you have a car but it would be inconvenient without one.

L’établissement est idéalement bien placé ( sortie de Galway et à 1 h du Connemara)
