Teo en de rest van het personeel waren heel vriendelijke, aangename mensen. Super behulpzaam.
Zeer goede communicatie met het verblijf.
Ik was ziek tijdens het verblijf in Myoldhouse en ik werd heel goed geholpen qua eten en een kamer bijboeken voor een nacht. Heel zorgend.
Lekker, gratis ontbijtje.
Hygiënische kamer met balkon.
Proper zwembad. Zwembad is zeker diep genoeg om te verfrissen. Heel mooie, rustige tuin.

La moschea è molto vicina quindi la notte, come è successo a noi, puoi essere svegliato. Possible rumore anche causato da vari cani nei dintorni.
Our stay in Lahad Datu was a welcome break from the tourist train we seemed to have joined when leaving Sarawak and landing in Kota Kinabalu. Few tourists stop here. Our stay was lovely. Teo and family were excellent hosts, interesting to talk to and their home lovely to relax in. Room was comfortable. Small pool nice, and garden relaxing. We did a wonderful private boat tour of the bay and blue sink holes with Robin at Sumi Suria dive and tours, it was a highlight of our trip for sure, we were the only tour boat there. Town is a 5-10 min grab ride, a smaller version of Semporna without the tourists. We stayed 2 nights, a 3rd would have allowed us another day exploring the islands on a private boat, which I'd recommend.

Het ontbijt was niet uitgebreid. Er was enkel toast beschikbaar.
Great value for a place to stay for our layover in Lahad Datu. The staff even picked us up from Semporna
Some neighborhood noise but it wasn't too bothersome.
Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Amanda spricht sehr gut Englisch. Es gibt einen Kühlschrank zur Nutzung im Gemeinschaftsbereich. Ihr könnt über die Unterkunft auch Tagesausflüge nach Semporna, Kinabatangan, etc buchen. Am besten mal nachfragen. Außerdem werden Transfers angeboten. Wir haben den Transfer für 300 RM zum Jetty für unseren nächsten Stop am Kinabatangan River genutzt. Transfer war sehr komfortabel!

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. The property itself was tidy and features a swimming pool, which was a nice addition. Breakfast is simple but adequate, with coffee, fresh fruit, bread, and a selection of jams.
The accommodation is family-run. Payment can be made either in cash or via Wise transfer if arranged in advance with the appropriate family member.
They also offer reasonably priced transportation to and from Lahad Datu upon request, which is very convenient.
Despite having agreed on a Wise payment before our arrival, the family member handling our check-in was unable to manage the payment process properly. As a result, we ultimately had to pay in cash. While he was trying to sort out the situation, another staff member repeatedly urged him to collect the payment in cash instead of helping resolve the agreed transfer. The discussion became uncomfortable enough that he eventually had to ask her to stop. Although this did not significantly affect our overall stay, we found the situation unnecessary and not particularly professional, and better coordination among the staff would have made the check-in process much smoother.
