Komplettes Zimmer von Schimmel befallen
Pros:

Das Personal war super freundlich und hat uns ein TukTuk nach Nuwara Eliya organisiert.
Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker.

Cons:

Ich schreibe wirklich sehr sehr selten schlechte Bewertungen aber vor dieser Unterkunft muss man leider warnen.
Sowohl auf Booking als auch auf Google sieht das Hotel wirklich super schön aus und auch die Rezensionen sind durchweg positiv (was wir leider überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen können)!

Wir haben uns sehr gefreut für diesen Preis so eine tolle Unterkunft gefunden zu haben und waren extrem schockiert als wir ankamen.
Das komplette Zimmer war von Schimmel befallen (siehe Bilder), es war alles feucht und klamm (Bett, Kopfkissen, Handtücher,…) und es roch total modrig.
Das war wirklich die schlechteste Unterkunft die wir auf unserer 3 wöchigen Reise bisher hatten und wir sind sehr froh gewesen, dass wir nur eine Nacht gebucht hatten.
Die Nacht war furchtbar, es gab nur eine Kuscheldecke zum schlafen (von der wir stark bezweifeln dass sie nach jedem Gast gewaschen wird) und wir haben die komplette Nacht so sehr gefroren obwohl wir bereits eine lange leggings, Socken und Pulli anhatten.
Wir fanden es auch blöd, dass man bereits bei Ankunft zahlen musste, dadurch haben wir dann als wir das Zimmer gesehen haben uns nicht mehr getraut zu sagen „wir möchten unser Geld zurück“ sondern haben es einfach hingenommen.
Hätten wir noch nicht gezahlt wären wir sofort wieder gefahren!

Ich hoffe die Zimmer werden bald renoviert, dann wäre es nämlich wirklich toll!
So können wir es leider absolut nicht weiterempfehlen!

Great location and views
Pros:

Fantastic location. Close to the train station, bus stop and lots of walks around tea estates. When the weather is good, the views from the balcony are stunning. The bed was comfortable and the blankets were nice and cosy as it got cold at night. The shower was very powerful and lovely and warm. The room was good value for money. The staff were so friendly and really helpful.

Cons:

I assume it’s because of the weather so must be difficult to control, but the property suffers with damp. It had been painted over, but in my deluxe room there was quite a few black mould spots, especially around the windows, in the bathroom and on the doors. I was only there for two nights, but something to be aware of depending on the time of year you come and how long you are staying.

Pros:

The hotel is conveniently located right next to Nanu Oya train station, making it a great choice if you are travelling by train. It is also within easy reach of Nuwara Eliya.

The hosts were very friendly, kind and helpful. Whenever we needed transportation by tuk-tuk, they immediately arranged a driver to come and pick us up, which we really appreciated.

Cons:

The room felt quite damp and overall a little neglected and in need of some maintenance. Unfortunately, the towels were also damp and had a noticeable musty smell, which made our stay less comfortable.

Overall, the location is extremely convenient and the hosts are lovely and helpful, but the room would benefit from better maintenance and attention to the humidity and cleanliness.

Een prima enkele overnachting voor een doorreis.
Pros:

Het is dichtbij het treinstation. Het was erg schoon en personeel wat erg behulpzaam. Ook het bed lag prima, wat in Sri Lanka niet vanzelfsprekend is voor lange mensen als ik. Voor de prijs is het prima.

Cons:

Wij hadden de kamer beneden en die is erg gehorig. Ook de wifi was erg onstabiel. Er was vooral voor de rest niks te doen in de avond.

Dit hotel is perfect voor een overnachting voor je op de trein naar Ella stapt. Een goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.

Les petites attentions dans la chambre (bouilloire, café, thé, lait en poudre, sucre, serviettes, savon, shampooing et après shampoing)

Pros:

la habitacion y las vistas geniales, y muy cerca de la estacion de nanu oya, para coger el primer tren a ella. la chica que atendia muy simaptica y agradable. Tambien llegamos antes del checkin y muy amablemente nos guaradaron mas mochilas e intentaron tener la habitación lista lo más pronto posible.

tal vez tener alguna manta mas, por las noches hacia mucho frio

Trato familiar fantástico
Pros:

Menike y su marido son encantadores. La ubicación del alojamiento es perfecta si vas a coger el tren hacia Ella, está muy cerca de la estación. Las instalaciones estan muy bien, habitaciones amplias y limpias. Incluso nos prepararon una cena de arroz y curry que estaba buenísima.

Breathtaking Views!
Pros:

it was one of the best surprises of my trip. It’s very close to Nanu Oya station and only about 10 minutes from Nuwara Eliya by tuk-tuk. I wasn’t originally planning to stay in Nuwara Eliya, but it turned out to be the most peaceful and serene part of my journey. Dream stay has breathtaking scenic views, the rooms are clean, and the hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming. I highly recommend staying here for a couple of nights instead of just passing through on the way to Ella.
