Serene Homestay Ella

Lovely homestay with a lovely family. Tuk tuk rides to and from Ella were super helpful, at a good price and available any time. Breakfast on the private balcony was brilliant. Beautiful setting and views

What a beautiful place to stay! The view from our room was stunning, the room was very spacious, clean, beautiful and comfortable and the owners are so lovely. The breakfast was a feast each morning. We very much enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. We'll definitely come back here next time!

Amazing place to stay in Ella! The room was very big, clean and had breathtaking view. It is totally worth to stay there. The host was very attentive to every request especially with tuk tuks transportation and laundry services. I totally recommend him and his place!

Absolument fantastique. Une famille adorable, un hébergement très propre et confortable, des petits-déjeuners différents avec jus frais chaque matin, deux terrasses avec vue magnifique ... Une vraie découverte loin de l'agitation du centre ville. Vivement recommandé par notre famille !

The staff has waited for us because of our late arrival and hard a special attention. We were quite embarrassed of so much kindness ! View was wonderful at night but amazing when we woke up. Breakfast was perfect . Site was a bit difficult to access but no worries as they have a tuktuk taking your luggage for the last meters and can carry you to a nice restaurant Cinnamon View close to here. Inusha’s family are very sweet and welcoming and the views from the balcony are fantastic.
We appreciate a good breakfast and we were amazed at the spread we were given each morning.

The Homestay is a short walk to the local train station and it’s about 3km walk (downhill or flat via train tracks) to the centre of Ella.
Also easy to reach Ella Rock from the Homestay.

We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back when we return to Sri Lanka

We stayed in the new superior 2 bedroom chalet. It is an amazing space and perfect for our family of 2 adults and  2 teenagers. The views are beautiful, especially from the balcony. The warmth and generosity from the host family was what made the stay so special. Don't miss out on a home cooked dinner while you're there! Highly recommend.

Alle unsere Erwartungen an die Unterkunft wurden übertroffen. Wir fühlten uns durch die Wärme und Hilfsbereitschaft der Gastgeber wie zu Hause. Uns wurde jeder Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen, zudem war das Frühstück & der Ausblick traumhaft. Das Appartement ist zudem ideal ausgestattet, es hat uns bei weitem an nichts gefehlt - und wenn es so gewesen wäre, hätten es die Gastgeber sicherlich für uns organisiert. Serene Homestay ist der perfekte Ort für den Urlaub in Ella. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Nous avons passé trois nuits dans cet établissement et tout était parfait ! La vue est magnifique, la cabane est très confortable et le petit-déjeuner est exceptionnel. Différent chaque matin, il est toujours copieux, varié et délicieux.

Les hôtes sont d'une gentillesse remarquable : très accueillants, disponibles, attentionnés et très serviables. Leur bienveillance a largement contribué à rendre notre séjour encore plus agréable.

Nous recommandons vivement cet établissement et y reviendrions avec grand plaisir.

What an awseome stay we had here (two nights). By far the kindest family we came across throughout our trip in Sri Lanka. Teh family that runs this business is so friendly and kind, beyond any possible expectations. Inusha helped us with all our questions, brought us and picked us up with his tuk-tuk. Kids loved it!! The chalet is very big and what a stunning view!! Inusha's parents are so sweet, every morning we had such a generous home made breakfast!! We also had dinner here and the food was simply amazin!!If you go to Ella, look no further!!

Our stay at Serene Homestay in Ella was absolutely amazing and it was easily the best homestay we have ever stayed in. From the view to the amazing free breakfast and tuktuk service all our expectations were met and surpassed.

Honestly one of the best parts of our whole Sri Lanka trip. This is a proper family-run place and you can feel it from the moment you arrive. So warm and welcoming.

Breakfast every morning was incredible. Some of the best food we had the entire trip, which is saying something. Inusha sorted us out with a tuk tuk service too which made getting around Ella so easy and stress-free.

The views from the room are just ridiculous. We spent so much time on the balcony watching the rain come in over the hills. Rooms are really comfortable and modern too.

Just a really special place run by genuinely generous people. Can’t recommend it enough.

The hosts were exceptionally kind and caring. Inusha took us everywhere we wanted to go (including a 6 am start to a hike) and picked us up again in his tuktuk for a very reasonable price. This removed any issues with the location being further out of town. He also arranged for our laundry to be done. Breakfasts were varied, delicious and plentiful. The beds are large and super comfy.
