Unica cosa positiva forse la colazione
Iniziamo col dire che era All inclusive e che la nostra barca sarebbe dovuta arrivare alle 9 di mattina, tuttavia ci hanno comunicato ritardi dovuti alla bassa marea (nonostante le barche comunque partissero) siamo arrivati alle 14 e non ci è stato lasciato nulla da parte per pranzare.
Prima di prendere la Barca da Semporna, scoprirete anche che c'è da pagare 150 RM a testa per tasse e barca solo cash quindi poi non potrete averli o prelevare sull'isola.
Inoltre all'arrivo abbiamo dovuto far notare che la camera assegnata era sbagliata, e farcela cambiare. Il bagno era allagato e abbiamo avuto anche un topo in camera.
L'animazione non esiste, non partono escursioni per altre isole se non attorno a Mabul ma l'unica escursione che abbiamo fatto con loro non è stata positiva. La guida non parlava inglese e non ci siamo sentite sicure poiché in acqua era pieno di meduse.
Ci siamo affidate ad altre strutture per poter passare al meglio questi giorni.
Staff e ambiente davvero mozzafiato
Manca un po di manutenzione
Il cibo è semplice e si ripete ma io l'ho trovato delizioso e completo. Riso verdure e proteine per pranzo e cena e colazione con pane e marmellata, uova e variante salata con i noodle.
Ho apprezzato molto le escursioni di snorkeling proposte dall' ostello e la possibilità poco più avanti(attraversando il ponte) di fare un bagno in acqua cristallina.
Purtroppo il mio punteggio basso è dovuto alla poca disponibilità e alla mancata comunicazione con la parte dello staff che gestisce le prenotazioni a Semporna (non a Mabul, loro sull'isola sono estremamente carini e disponibili, per loro solo complimenti!)
Qualche giorno prima del nostro arrivo ho chiesto come funzionasse il trasporto da Semporna a Mabul, informandomi online avevo letto che normalmente il tragitto è organizzato dalla struttura.
La ragazza che si occupa delle prenotazioni mi ha detto che esiste una sola barca che collega Semporna a Mabul (da loro garantita) alle 9 ma dato che il nostro pullman sarebbe arrivato alle 14 per noi era impossibile anticipare. La sua risposta è stata che il costo della barca alle 15 era di 600 rm(130€)..cifra per noi impossibile!! Qualche giorno dopo improvvisamente c'era una barca disponibile alle 14.30. Alle 14.12 la ragazza ci ha scritto di sbrigarci perché la barca non avrebbe aspettato: dalla stazione degli autobus al loro ufficio ci vogliono esattamente 15 minuti e noi abbiamo corso come dei pazzi. Successivamente scopriamo che avremmo dovuto pagare quella barca (compresa anche del tragitto al ritorno) 150 rm ma che gli unici orari disponibili erano le 11 o le 16. Dato che il nostro volo partiva alle 11 da Tawau immaginate come è andata a finire. Abbiamo perso una notte che ovviamente non ci è stata rimborsata e abbiamo dovuto trovare una sistemazione a Semporna. Credo che queste siano informazioni FONDAMENTALI da dare all'inizio della prenotazione. Quindi servizio a Semporna davvero pessimo!!!! Per fortuna che sull'isola sono diversi e molto più disponibili.
Mare cristallino
Difficoltà nel comunicare con la struttura, per arrivare bisogna aggiungere 150RM per il viaggio ma nessuno te lo dice. Dalla struttura non si possono fare gite nelle isole vicine ma solo snorkeling o immersioni. Continui black out che ci hanno bruciato gli adattatori. Cibo sempre uguale. Doccia che puzzava di fogna e formiche in camera
The staff made the experience truly memorable. The fact that breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the price makes it very good value for money, and the food is delicious.

Some of the friendliest staff I’ve come across. Location was insanely good being right on a reef. Often would see turtles, fish and more most mornings. Plenty of snorkeling to do as little as 100 m out from the accomodation. Gear was cheap and per day. Easy access to surrounding reefs and islands for even better diving and snorkeling. Definitely worth the money and would go back
Very chilled placed with amazing staff 👌🏼💚
My experience here was much better than the reviews suggest. The location on the island was great. The water seemed to be much cleaner in that location compared to other parts of the island. All the staff were great too. There was a newer section that we were allowed to use and hang out in which was really nice. I also liked the atmosphere with other backpackers despite there not being many of us on some days.

La nourriture était un peu grasse. De la difficulté dans l’organisation, malgré que tout se soit arrangé. L’île en elle-même est bourrée de déchets et d’enfants qui s’accrochent à nos poches pour nous demander de l’argent. Et certains endroits de l’île sont privés

No tenía luz ni papel el baño , no tenía llave era un candado , no llegaba el wifi a la habitación, estaba todo sucio, la comida escasa, lo mejor, el dive master , la atención fue horrible

One of the best places ever... Amazing Place, view, wonderful dives, friendly caring people. Super nice and super clean, you Just don t want to leave anymore! Guys Is not a resort! Is so Much more! Is a backpackers Place and Is a family 🌻 for everyone. I can Just recommend it
