There was nothing to like
1.The room smelled horribly
2.I booked a room with a private bathroom as stated on their page only for my wife and i to be surprised that it was a shared/communal bathroom
3.Called the owner for over an hour couldn't even get hold of him, cause we needed directions
The host was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, there's even an electric blanket and a TV with Netflix and YouTube. The area is also very peaceful, which is exactly what we needed. All in all, you get much more than what you pay for. Great value for money.
When I booked, it mentioned an en suite bathroom, which wasn't the case. But the bathroom we used was always available and very clean, so I can't complain. The fridge in the room froze our food solid, so just be careful of that. Otherwise, I am very happy with our stay! Thank you
The location was good . In a safe neighborhood
The room was not the one in the picture. It was smaller. The kitchen was shared
It was conveniently located about 2km from the stellenbosch campus as i was staying there for my block classes. The room was cleaned and maintained daily. I loved that the was always hot water for a shower. The caretaker Mr. Cydi was an excellent host.
The entry and exit at the gate, you have to open via a lock literally and you can waste a lot of time, that should be improved with remote controlled gates or biometric. The walls in the house are also paper thin as you can hear noise from the passage and other rooms which was distracting at times as i had to study. The garden was also not being maintained as the grass was overgrown and not aesthetically pleasing.
Clean and comfortable. I recommend this place and i would book there again given a chance

It was a bit far from where I had to go on daily basis and therefore costly.
