I’m an experienced traveller, and after one month of travelling around Indonesia, I decided to spend a few days in Amed at Santa Fe Homestay and Warung. Unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one.

There was no real welcome upon arrival, and the room was advertised as a “Superior” room with a view of Mount Agung. Unfortunately, Mount Agung was not visible at all from the room.

The accommodation itself is very basic. Breakfast was also quite simple, with nothing particularly special — no fresh fruit and no juice. Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:00. The location, however, is good and convenient.

The experience on the morning of my departure was particularly disappointing. The day before, I had informed the host that I would be leaving the following morning for a long journey and that I would have breakfast at 9:00, which is well within the stated breakfast hours. When I arrived, the host was not there. I called her and was told that she was attending a ceremony.

Of course, I understand that personal commitments can happen, but given that I had informed her in advance about my departure and breakfast time, I would have expected at least some attention to the guest.

This is simply my personal experience, but unfortunately I would not recommend this accommodation for a stay in Amed. There are other, more efficient and welcoming places available at the same price.

Comfortable and nice stay in Amed
Pros:

The room was super comfortable and extra clean.
The host was extremely nice and welcoming.
And it’s close from the sea (3min walk), Indomaret and good Warung.

Pros:

Great location, walking distance to beautiful snorkeling spots that the owner kindly suggested (we saw turtles, a lion fish, a small shark, and plenty of other beautiful wildlife). The room was spacious and clean. The food she cooked was good. If she is busy and can't prepare lunch, you can go to the Warung meme right next to it. Cheap and delicious.

Pros:

La ubicación está súper bien, está todo muy limpio y la señora que lo lleva és simplemente genial! Te ayuda en todo lo que necesites (taxi, lavandería, alquiler de moto…). Siempre está pendiente de lo que necesitas y con una sonrisa en la cara!

Cons:

Lo único que no me pareció genial és el baño… pero bueno, como en la mayoría de alojamientos de la zona, sencillito.

Camera pulita a due passi dal mare!
Colazione buonissima.
Il bagno della camera il mio bagno visto a Bali, solitamente non hanno le finestre, quindi è facile che siano molto umidi, ma questo aveva una parte aperte sopra alla doccia e una piccola finestrella da cui puoi vedere le montagne, bellissimo!!
