HOME HOSTEL ELLA private rooms only

Ho soggiornato 3 notti all’Home Hostel e mi sono trovata benissimo. Una struttura meravigliosa, immersa nel verde, circondata da alberi e piantagioni di tè. È il posto ideale per chi cerca tranquillità, lontano dal caos della città, ma allo stesso tempo comodo da raggiungere grazie a una scorciatoia dietro l’ostello si arriva in centro in 10-15 minuti. Thiti è un host davvero premuroso, disponibile e gentile, capace di farti sentire subito a casa. La struttura è pulita e offre tutto il necessario: acqua calda, asciugacapelli, acqua potabile con depuratore e anche la possibilità di utilizzare la cucina. Colazione molto buona! Un soggiorno davvero piacevole, in un ambiente rilassante.

J’ai apprécié la proximité de la plage (5 minutes à pied), le lieu est très sympa.
Le personnel est adorable malgré un niveau d’anglais compliqué. Utilisez Google translate avec leur langue pour éviter tout malentendu

Liegt im Grünen an Teefeldern, viele Tiere und Vögel sind unterwegs, zum Frühstück gibt Tost oder Pankakes mit Omlett

I had an amazing time, its super easy to connect with the other guests and its perfect to escape the busy city Ella and enjoy the beautiful nature around Ella. Nevertheless its just a 10-15 min walk to the City. Some days I just chilled all Day at this beautiful place surrounded by a lot of birds and squirrles. The host is super friendly and helpful and the breakfast was every day really good. Of course the lovely pets Charlie and Lassie made the stay perfect and I already miss them.

Perfect place in the nature, peaceful and silent. Only 10 minutes walking from Ella. Amazing breakfast. Good internet connection. Clean rooms and bathroom. There is also a lovely cat and dog.

I had my best stay in Sri Lanka here, met nice people and discovered the surroundings by scooter. Definitely a recommendation.

Great WIFI in all areas! Not sure why WIFI has such bad ratings but felt the need to highlight this as it’s important for many, myself included. But where to even start with how wonderful my stay has been… I booked 3 days and stayed for 2 weeks. Chuti is the most welcoming host, so kind and helpful in every way! From delicious meals (the Dahl and roti for breakfast is the best I’ve had in all Sri Lanka), to taking me on a trip on his scooter to see lesser known places and offering to collect groceries for me when he goes out. The outdoor area has two sofas, two armchairs and two hammocks, with beautifully thought out ambient lighting and decoration. Such a serene atmosphere and place to relax which every other place I’ve stayed has seriously lacked. And the dog, Lassie, and cat, Charlie - what a blessing to have spent this time in their company also… Hot water, comfortable beds and rooms, laundry service, kitchen facilities, 10 minute walk to Ella centre, gorgeous view of the hills and monastery… this place has everything. Don’t hesitate, just book a stay at Home Hostel, you will find a place to call home here. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The terrace was very peaceful with the view and the hosts very nice and here if you need any help.

I originally booked this hostel for just 2 nights, but I ended up staying for 10 nights—and that says everything about how amazing this place is.

Nestled among beautiful mountains and surrounded by lush greenery, the hostel has a peaceful, authentic vibe that makes it feel like a true home in nature. Waking up to the fresh air and breathtaking views every morning was amazing.

What made my stay even more special were the two lovely pets, Charley and Lessy. They are the heart of the hostel and instantly make you feel welcome. Their unconditional affection and playful nature genuinely make you feel connected and remind you of the simple joy of being human.

The host is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and full of positive energy. If you’re visiting Ella and looking for more than just a place to sleep—somewhere you can truly unwind and feel the nature—this is the place.

Great stay! Very peaceful and relaxing accommodation with beautiful surroundings! Host is very friendly, responsive and helpful. Breakfast is the best I’ve had so far in Sri Lanka with omelette, roti and a smoothie. Also, very cuddly pets! Path is dark at night but still felt very safe (coming from a female), but you need a torch.

Great place to stay in Ella! Surrounded by nature with lots of birds, monkeys, and squirrels around. The owner is very friendly, took me around on his bike, and made a delicious breakfast. His dog and cat made the hostel feel even more welcoming. Highly recommended if you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Beautiful view, surrounded by nature, amazing home cooked food, amazing host Chutti and amazing pets Lacy and Charlie.

Super lieu, très arrangeant et de bon conseil, super disponible pour faire des visites

It was the best hostel in all Sri Lanka!

Todo. El lugar es increíble, la vista es hermosa, al igual que Charlie y Lassi. Queda muy cerca de Ella, pero alejado del bullicio y el camino es es muy bello, entre los campos de té. Chuti un gran anfitrión, está presente en cada detalle. El desayuno es riquísimo y hecho con mucho amor.

Echt een top locatie voor Ella! Het hostel, wat je overings meer kunt ziens als homestay, is net buiten het centrum. Via een smal pad ben je in 10 minuten in het centrum. Het hostel is relaxed, een goede plek om even tot rust te komen, maar ook een plek ook gewoon lekker te kunnen ondernemen. Zeker een aanrader wanneer je in Ella bent!! Daarnaast is de eigenaar echt super vriendelijk en helpt met alles!!

茶畑に囲まれた素敵なところでした。バスの予約が取れなくて困っていたところ、予約を取った上，朝早くにバス停まで送っていただきました。有り難かったです！
