Datong Yunzhong Traditional Courtyard

The friendly owners of the hotel went out of their way to make sure we were having a great time! The attention to detail when decorating and organising the room is very high. The location of the hotel is very much at the centre of the old town, all easily accessible on foot. We organised our excursions with the hotel, and they provided us with a very capable driver and organised a breakfast parcel to take with us. I would highly recommend this hotel, we travelled with a group of 5 people and had 3 rooms next to each other, which was ideal.

I loved everything about this hotel. So glad I picked it so beautiful and loved the whole traditional look and feel. Got upgraded to a bigger room and all the staff was lovely. Breakfast was great and wished my stay was for longer. The hotel is an experience in itself. Location was perfect and quiet and the wine room and little museum was just unexpected. Very elegantly done. The decor at reception area was just gorgeous, tastefully done. The fruit and nibblies basket and toiletrie pack were nice touches. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

La camera Deluxe Queen Room si è rivelata una scelta azzeccata: ampia, pulita e silenziosa, situata al piano superiore con affaccio su un delizioso cortile interno in stile tradizionale. L'arredo classico e l'assenza di moquette contribuiscono a creare un ambiente curato e piacevole. Il bagno con doccia è completo e funzionale, con asciugamani cambiati ogni giorno.
Al check-in abbiamo ricevuto un gradito kit di benvenuto in una elegante pochette in stile cinese, un piccolo gesto che ha aggiunto un tocco autentico e raffinato all'accoglienza.
Il punto di forza dell'hotel è senza dubbio lo staff, estremamente cordiale e disponibile: ci ha aiutato a organizzare un driver e ha curato il trasferimento dalla stazione all'hotel all'arrivo, senza che dovessimo preoccuparci di nulla.
La colazione, da prenotare il giorno precedente, è stata più che sufficiente per iniziare la giornata con energia.
La posizione è ottima: all'interno delle mura storiche, in una zona pedonale tranquilla, lontana dal caos ma comoda per visitare tutto.

Durante nuestra estancia fue todo perfecto. La habitación es una maravilla, muy amplia y cómoda con muchos artículos de aseo personal, todos los detalles cuidados al extremo. El personal fue muy amable y servicial en todo momento, nos ayudaron a buscar un taxista para nuestras excursiones por datong y fue muy antento y simpatico. Y por último el desayuno, con muchas opciones a elegir entre comida asiática y occidental, todos los días te dan una carta y señalas lo que quieres para el día siguiente, estaba todo delicioso!! Desde luego un sitio para repetir.

We had a really lovely stay at this hotel in Datong, and it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip.
The location is great, close enough to all the main sights to make getting around easy, but still quiet enough to feel like a relaxing escape after a busy day.
What I appreciated most was how kind and welcoming the staff were. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile, which made the whole stay feel very comfortable and easy.
The room itself was surprisingly spacious, with plenty of room to relax. It was clean, well laid out, and had everything I needed to feel at home.
The bathroom amenities really stood out to me. There was a wide variety provided, and in generous quantities too, not just the basics, but lots of thoughtful extras. It was clear the hotel pays attention to the little details, which made a big difference.
One of my favorite parts of the hotel was the traditional garden. It had such a calm and peaceful atmosphere, and it was the perfect place to slow down and unwind. Spending time there felt very special and added a unique charm to the whole experience.
Overall, I had a fantastic stay. Between the convenient location, the genuinely kind staff, the comfortable and spacious room, the well-stocked amenities, and the relaxing garden, it’s a place I would happily come back to.

This place was out of this world. Exceptional service, absolutely amazing place to stay.

Best location for most inner city sites. The room is spotless and the staff are really friendly and thoughtful. They arrange pick up from the nearest spot. Its just a stone's away from the main street. It feels like you're home. They take care of all your needs and qs.
