Number Six

The lack of water made our stay extremely difficult and uncomfortable. At one point, the host told us that we had to go downstairs and use the shower that the family living in the house uses. This was incredibly uncomfortable and inappropriate. We booked this accommodation expecting to have access to the facilities advertised with our stay, not to have to use a shared family bathroom in someone else's living space.

What made matters worse was that we were told to come downstairs because apparently water was coming out of the shower there. When we arrived, it was exactly the same situation — only a few drops of water were coming out. We literally had to leave without being able to bathe properly because we already had plans and could not keep waiting.

When we returned after being out for the entire day, there was still no water. This significantly affected our stay and made it impossible for us to enjoy the accommodation we had paid for.

The situation with the air conditioning was also unacceptable. We could not use it because apparently the remote control was missing. We waited and, 24 hours later, asked the host whether she had found it. Her response was, *“I haven’t found it, shame, sorry.”* That is simply unbelievable and extremely unprofessional.

We specifically chose this property because of the facilities that were advertised. Instead, we arrived to find that many of those facilities were either unavailable or not functioning. We were cold throughout our stay because we could not use the air conditioning, and the overall experience was nothing like what was advertised. This is, in my view, false advertising. We did not receive what we paid for, and the fact that several basic facilities were unavailable made the stay extremely unpleasant and disappointing. We would therefore like to request appropriate compensation/refund for the services and facilities that were advertised but not provided.

My fiancé and I had a very unpleasant stay at this property.

Firstly, the floorboards creaked loudly every time we walked, which was particularly concerning at night as we felt it could easily disturb other guests. The bed was also extremely creaky, making noise whenever we moved or even got onto the bed.

However, the most disappointing and unhygienic issue was what we experienced with our food. We had purchased two dozen donuts and left them in their boxes on the table while we went out for supper. We were gone for less than two hours. When we returned, we were shocked to find cockroaches, ants, tiny spiders, and other insects inside the donut boxes. Needless to say, we could no longer feel comfortable eating the food, and the experience left us feeling extremely uncomfortable about staying at the property.

We spoke to the owners the following morning, and they explained that they were experiencing an issue with fumigation. We found this very concerning. If a property has an ongoing pest problem serious enough for insects to get into guests’ food within such a short period of time, we feel that this should be addressed before the property is made available to guests.

Unfortunately, this experience completely affected our stay, and we would not book this property again. We hope the owners take these concerns seriously and resolve the pest issue for future guests.

The cleanliness was not up to par as there were cocoroaches roaming around our room and the bedding had to be changed due to marks on it

We received a message the next day that a towel is missing

During the day the hot water runs out. The pool was not clean.

No check ups from the staff

The internet for the tv never worked. Poor pest control. Cleanliness was not to my satisfaction. I left the accommodation before the end of my paid stay.
