Hospitality after we arrived. Nicely served breakfast.
Owner refused to receive call or respond to our paid booking. With heavy crowd in munnar I had to spend night with small kid sleeping in the car because owner did not accept booking even after we paid already. Only after no one booked or arrived at his property for available room, he called us back and we reached there in morning to sleep couple of hours.

The Cottage owner helped me a lot in reaching the location. He helped in arranging best car ride for site seeing in his circle. The breakfast and tea awesome. One can enjoy the location beauty and the nature in the early moring. Prefer stay in the upstairs for this. 24/7 hot water is available.
The room windows are glass doors covered with curtains that may not sufficent for extra privacy for couples. But this is not a problem.
My partner and I stayed here just for a night but we had an amazing stay! The room was very nice and light, hot shower, the mattress was new and very comfortable (the best one so far since traveling for 3 weeks), there is also a sharing balcony and a view to the forest. There was even a rooftop where we did yoga in the morning 😍 The breakfast was AMAZING, homely Indian food with the best appam! And what was really dearly appreciated was the host's kind gesture for letting us keep the luggage in an empty room and also hang around the whole day, go and come back...(we had a late evening bus). Thank you so much for everything 🙏🏼✨️❤️
We really enjoyed our stay at Athens Cottage! The owners were very kind. They gave us coffee and tea, made some really good dosas for us and booked a taxi for us 2 times. The room was comfortable and clean. We also liked the location, which was quiet and surrounded by plants, trees and birds.

It's a very serene quiet and calm place..if u want to stay out of the city for a calm peaceful experience u can book here..u can sleep well and soak in the climate and the environment..they have a very beautiful garden area..
On the whole it was pleasant experience..
It's not a professional hotel..so u can't demand food whenever u need.
It's managed by an elderly couple..
We need to prebook food if we need..or you can cook on your own..they provide kitchen access..
They gave us chai ..aapam and kadala curry which was awesome..hotels are also nearby..
Also u can bring some games with u to play with..
The path to the cottage is a bit steep but it was adventurous...but this is how all munnar roads will be I guess
Nothing as such to like there also the property owner was keeping eyes on our things that whatsoever things we were getting in the rooms.
Privacy wasn't there and location was also not accessible easily. Owner was keep looking whatever stuffs we bring from outside as food options aren't available you've to bring food from outside only.

I booked this hotel but without informing me they directly cancelled my booking. I would suggest you guys to never prefer booking.com. My experience with this site was very bad everytime.
