Propert was neat and clean. Location is on good point.
Our room view was the soccer playground which i didn’t like it. Asked the front desk to change our room and they said they are sold out at the moment which was not truth. I see very cars were parked up at the parking lot how it was sold out doesn’t make any sense.
Love this hotel.
Everything
Lobby is beautiful, staff are friendly and helpful. Bistro has some tasty basics and is convenient. Fitness center is somewhat small but decent, pool is also somewhat small but hottub is great. There is a shopping center within walking distance that has good restaurants.
We didn't realize that airplanes would be flying so close to the hotel. This really impacted the outdoor experience (pool, walking in neighborhood), as well as created noise starting at 5:30am each morning and extending to 9:30 or 10pm. Pool was not heated and had a lot of floating debris. Though most of the staff were helpful, there was one man working in the Bistro in the mornings who just didn't seem to care about customers, didn't even look up or greet people when we arrived and seemed bothered when we asked to order food.
I work in aviation industry and this was a business trip, where I convinced my whole crew to stay here because of the location, which is very nice. We had to suddenly shorten our stay and leave early. This hotel refused to understand the situation and billed us for an extra night even though we left before official checkout time. Staff was pointing fingers at each other while the GM was hiding in the back room and refusing to even come out to speak with us. First time in 6 years with Marriott we were treated like this. Assistant GM straight up told me that our Ambassador status means nothing at this property.
If your plans have any chance of changing, stay away from this place. Never again.
Rooms are older and worn, but bed was comfy, room was quiet, and everything seemed relatively clean. Had a great night’s sleep.
It was close to UCSB as we were there with our incoming freshman son to visit his new college, they had bike rentals which was a plus however didn’t work out
The proximity to ride the bikes to the school was not safe at least I didn’t find a safe route for it
Great location
Clean room
No complimentary breakfast
Very clean and cozy
Good location
Welcoming atmosphere
Normal Courtyard type place
Too much noise from the open area in the back, both morning and evening.
It is not acceptable to have to pay for parking and the breakfast solution is not great for a hotel that costs this much. Santa Barbara is expensive but it is a joke to pay this much for a simple hotel and to have pay extra for parking.
