Mysigt och välstädat. Bra område med stranden och gamla staden en promenad bort.

Het zwembad en de ruime tuin vonden wij erg fijn. Ook was het een ruim appartement met alle voor ons benodigde faciliteiten. Er waren ook grote tv-schermen, maar die hebben wij niet gebruikt. In de slaapkamer was er een hor voor het raam, zodat wij nogal eens het raam openden midden in de nacht, dan heb je ook geen airco nodig. In de slaapkamer is lekker veel kastruimte aanwezig. Verder hoorde je in de slaapkamer nauwelijks of geen geluiden vh verkeer door de straat. We hebben de buren ook nauwelijks gehoord. In de gang heb je kasten waar linnengoed en handdoeken in liggen, daardoor hebben wij zelf 1 keer nieuwe handdoeken kunnen pakken.
Vlakbij is een fijne relatief grote supermarkt en nog ietsje verder bevindt zich een leuk zaakje - Piatsa gusto - waar je heerlijke broodjes, gebak en koffie (to go) kunt halen. Verder zit je op 10 minuten afstand lopen van zowel de oude stad als het strand.
De eigenaresse is een lieve vrouw die het je naar de zin wil maken, ze heeft ons op de 1e ochtend water en heerlijke broodjes gebracht.
Je moet beseffen dat dit een woonwijk is, waar veel verkeer langskomt. Als je in de tuin bent, ben je echter niet zichtbaar voor mensen op de straat, wel een beetje voor de achter- of bovenburen, maar die hebben we nauwelijks in de tuin gezien.
Het is ontzettend druk in heel Rhodos stad, veel verkeer. We zijn 7 jaar geleden in de buurt geweest, toen was het wel ècht iets rustiger dan nu.
In het appartement zaten best wat fruitvliegjes, het meest in de badkamer. Waarschijnlijk is het vochtig in het appartement. Als je binnenkomt, ruikt het ook wat vochtig. Het bed is redelijk goed - ietwat hard maar daar houd ik wel van - je glijdt wel iets naar elkaar toe. Ik denk dat je zelf de prullenbak moet legen, daar werd niets mee gedaan in de dagen dat wij er waren. Wel is tussentijds een keer het bed verschoond. In de badkamer mis ik een stopcontact voor scheerapparaat of tandenborstel en extra haakjes om je kleding op te hangen bv. Heb ik al bij de eigenaresse aangegeven, zij reageerde hier heel goed op, dus misschien komt dit nog.
The location was great. Only a 10-15 minute walk from the Old Town. Private pool was a real treat. Very well stocked small supermarket just a 2 minute walk away. Very good communication from the hosts.
WiFi could have been better. Footpaths in general in poor repair. Wasn't an issue for us but wouldn't be great for anyone with a buggy or wheelchair.

Lovely apartment
Closer to restaurants and bars
The apartment is ideal for couples and is located a 15 min walk from the old town and restaurants and bars. The pool area is quiet and has enough sun beds for all guests. We stayed in apartment 4 which has a lovely small balcony for morning coffee and a sundowner.
Nothing
The property was beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need. Wine, water and snacks were generously provided on our arrival and there were plenty of extra towels and bedding available if needed. The outside areas and the pool were also well maintained with beautiful plants and shrubs all around. The pool area was very relaxing and again, spotlessly clean.
The apartment was well situated, just a 12 minute walk into the Old Town.
Kallia and Phillip are wonderful hosts. We didn’t require any assistance during our stay as everything was perfect. Kallia messaged us on arrival with her telephone number informing us that she was always available if required.
If I had one small complaint which is not related to the property is that the pavements in the area outside the old Town are in need of repair.
The private pool in apartment 1 was amazing as it got so much sun in the morning, so we could go for a quick dip and sunbathe before heading out for the day. Plus it had lots of furniture to sunbathe and sit comfortably, and other handy things like an ironing board and clothes horse.
The owner left us a bottle of wine and some crisps and coffee to get us started, which was really nice. Meanwhile there were plenty of towels, and the two TVs were huge and had all the streaming services we could log into at night, plus the bed was comfy. The apartment was only a 10 minute walk into town, too.
Best of all the owner let us have a late check out on our last day, which meant we could store our luggage and have a shower after the beach before leaving for a late evening flight.
The pool was a little bit old and marked at the bottom, but it was such a minor complaint and there was an automated pool cleaner there.

Staff communication pre arrival excellent, however unable to comment further as unlike previous occupants we did not see anyone!
Lamp in lounge didn't work.
Only one light over dining table worked so had to use extractor light.
Blinds offer no privacy as you can see through them which means people in the property to the rear can look straight into the living room.
Drive way for access to rear property is right alongside private pool which again compromised privacy, published photos show it screened with bamboo, however it was not screened during our stay and driveway is frequently used by three cars and pedestrians accessing the property. Please see photo.
Shower lead gets in the way as it is attached to the side wall of the bath and hangs across, annoying when showering.
Only one sun shade despite feedback from previous reviews as this not enough for a pool that is in full sun all day.
Constant problem with ants by the front door.
This feedback is intended to improve things for future holiday makers not to be overly critical just completely honest.

Probably best accommodation we have stayed in. Whilst not in “town” being amongst the residential area we found local gems, and bus to the beach.
And it is only a short to both new and old town. Absolutely outstanding host and property.

Prachtige accomodatie. Heel ruim en onberispelijk schoon. Alles was voorzien. Goed uitgeruste keuken, heerlijk bed.
Er is aan alles gedacht: wasmachine, strijkplank, strijkijzer… Een ruime hoeveelheid handdoeken…
Het zwembad en de idyllische tuin waren geweldig.
De ligging is perfect, in een nette wijk - net buiten het centrum, overal vlakbij en toch rustig.
Supermarkt in de straat.
De host is ongelooflijk gastvrij. Van begin tot einde was de communicatie top! Wij mochten later uitchecken omdat we een late vlucht hadden. De host stelde dit voor op eigen initiatief. Je voelt je hier echt thuis. Niet alleen owv het appartement maar ook door de warme en persoonlijke benadering van de host onderscheidt deze accommodatie zich van vele anderen.
Wij komen zeker nog terug!
