Of all the places I have booked through Booking.com, Villa Marielen is by far the best place I have ever stayed.
From the host to the cleaning lady, everyone was absolutely wonderful. Their hospitality was exceptional and made our stay truly unforgettable. They are truly fantastic people.
The atmosphere of the villa is simply magical. It is difficult to describe in words how special this place feels. Everything exceeded my expectations.
I must also mention the sunsets, which were absolutely unforgettable. Each day brought a sunset more beautiful than the last. From Villa Marielen, you can watch the entire sunset unfold right in front of you, from the first golden colours until the sun disappears below the horizon. It was one of the most magical experiences of our stay.
My only regret is that I stayed for just one week. Looking back, I should have planned to stay for at least three weeks. Even as I write these words, I feel sad that I could not stay longer and enjoy this amazing place for more time.
The host kindly gave me advice on how to hire a car, and it turned out to be very easy to rent one on the island of Milos.
In short, I urgently need to come back to this island. Villa Marielen is a truly special place, and I would like to thank everyone for making our stay such an unforgettable experience.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Room was really spacious and clean and had been recently renovated. Housekeeping came by every day to tidy and take the bins out which was really helpful! The view from the room was excellent too.
The accommodation was advertised in the photos as having a kitchen, but it didn't. Only had a kettle (the other guests we spoke to also said they booked this accommodation for the kitchen which they didn't get). So the photos used for booking.com doesn't accurately depict the room you'll get (as there's many rooms and some don't have a sea view). The wifi was patchy and didn't work the first night we arrived. We contacted support but had no reply despite their 24/7 contact claim.

We loved our week at Vila Mary Elen. An easy 10 minute walk from Pollonia bus stop/restaurants, and in such a scenic and peaceful location on the tip of the island. Amazing views and sunsets, swimming spots right out front or a 100m walk away. Room was spacious and comfortable, AC worked well, bathroom was large and clean (with daily room cleaning). There is a kettle/coffee and mini fridge. We asked for some bowls to have cereal for breakfast and the staff were very helpful. Laundry service available at 15euro/bag. Our balcony was ocean facing, with a small table and chairs. This place has the feel of being off the beaten track, while still being close to transport and food. Great value for money!

Pollonia was a cute town. The bathroom was clean. The balcony was nice to have.
The bed was hard and creaky. Our checkin experience was a little odd; tv blaring from reception but there was no answer when we arrived mid day despite several pour knocks and repeatedly calling hello. This was unusual but not of great concern. We initially attributed this to it being a somewhat quirky budget accommodation. It was at the end of our stay when we had an experience unlike any other place be ever encountered. We were napping at 3:00 in the afternoon when the aforementioned quirky hostess barged in to our room. My husband had to leap to the door to tell her she could not enter. There was only about a five second delay between her knock and her entry. The kicker is that she ARGUED with my husband and insisted that she be able to come in to make a furniture delivery. He actually had to fend her off at the door. We complained to the owner and later heard them arguing loudly in the hallway presumable about our issue. There are two things we realized were not present in the room. There is no “do not disturb” sign provided. This is a privacy concern. Secondly, there is no chain latch or secondary lock to prevent staff from entering. This is not only a privacy concern but a real safety issue.
The Property is a short 10 min walk to the restaurants. Not as busy as the main area which is super nice! An easy escape with a private rock pool right in front of the house filled with lots of fish. The staff were so nice too! We loved this spot and will definitely return.

Villa Mary Elen is a great place to stay, near the beaches but in a lovely quiet location with outstanding views! We had a lovely few days here!
The cleaning staff was very friendly! The owner of the hotel greeted me the second day I was there. Very friendly atmosphere and stunning views! Great location on the water within walking distance of Pollonia Beach/Pollonia city center

Not the properties fault but there’s a building site next door however it doesn’t spoil the sea views as is in the inland direction
