Clean, comfortable, quality facilities, easy walk to train station (2 mins) and university (15 mins)
Pros:

2 minute walk from the train station, very clean and nicely presented. The bed was very comfortable with high quality linen, the bathroom was high standard. All information provided in advance was clear and accurate. It was easy to access my room and all facilities were high standard. The room isn't large but it is well designed to feel sufficiently spacious - it includes a work desk and I had room for morning yoga.

Cons:

Cuando llegué la habitación estaba sin hacer. Dijeron que venía una chica de la limpieza, pero fue el hombre que me atendió el que lo hizo y encima eran las mismas sábanas. Tuve que dormir encima de la colcha porque ya estaba muy cansada del viaje.

Would stay again
Pros:

Two mins from the station and 10 mins to city centre
Comfortable and clean and does what it says on the tin
Plenty of bottled water plus fan in my room due to the extreme heat
It’s on a main road which did not bother me
Good communication when booking
I’d definitely use again on my next trip to Winchester

Modern but seedy
Pros:

Its proximity to the railway station and the Hampshire Archives. It is also convenient to get buses from the train station.
There were some convenient things like a fan which allowed one to sleep at night and cables to recharge phones. Bathroom is tiny but completely modern.

Cons:

The entry/exit door is not secured. Anyone can walk in. The staircase to the rooms is not to code - the steps are so narrow that you have to come down sideways which is very hard to do with luggage. The hallway outside the door to the room is absolutely dark - even during the day. It is hard to see where the keypad is. And the instructions that were emailed failed to say what had to be pressed after entering the code. There is a word missing and I just had to figure it out. Inside the safe did not work and the refrigerator stank to high heaven because it was not running. Despite it being summer and very hot, the pipes to the radiator were scalding hot, so the room never cooled off adequately. The bed is the most uncomfortable one I have slept in. Hard with a strange bump in the middle.

Interior was much better than exterior
Pros:

Nice clean room with modern facilities, accommodated bike storage. Fan provided and windows opened fully to ventilate during the heatwave.

Cons:

The entrance was rather grotty, but don’t let that put you off

Noisy, hot. The pictures do not show its above a kebab shop, smelly and noisy into the night.

Don't stay here
Cons:

- Entrance door to the property stays open all the time (not just unlocked but physically open), which didn't feel secure.
- Communal corridors smelled of cigarettes.
- Bedroom floor felt crunchy, as though not vacuumed or cleaned.
- No sachets or pots of UHT milk on tea tray.
- Wifi didn't work.
- Host won't respond to any of my messages. I've got in touch via booking.com, email, and text several times to ask for a printable invoice for my stay, breaking down the overall cost by each night. HOST HASN'T RESPONDED TO ANY OF THE MESSAGES I'VE SENT OVER SEVERAL DAYS. I'm now going to have booking.com to get involved.

Rummet var ok.

Cons:

Dålig kommunikation. . Inget gatunummer i adressen. Inget svar på frågor digitalt. Ingen som svarade i telefon när jag hade svårt att hitta. Ingen information om att porten skulle vara låst på kvällen och hur jag då skulle komma in, bara kod till själva rummet.

An extremely noisey room from traffic and very basic.
Pros:

It was conveniently located for the city centre and the train station

Cons:

The room is on an extremely busy road and close to a five way junction with constant noise from traffic and from the cafes and restaurants underneath. The entrance door lock is broken and anyone could walk into the building so I felt quite insecure. If you want a quiet night’s sleep you won’t get one here!

Fantastic room to stay in Winchester especially for the price!
Pros:

Great location very central to Winchester, the room was very clean and very modern and all the amenities were above expectation.

Cons:

Room was slightly warm but they did provide a fan, street noise was a bit loud but that is to be expected when staying next to a train station, and the shower kept stuttering during use.
