Great value for money with clean, modern and fully equipped hotel
Pros:

Lovely clean & modern rooms.
The kitchenette in the studio rooms is amazing, fully equipped with essentials.
Pool areas clean and comfortable with snack bar having generous menu.
Location is fine, a short 15 mins walk to the main area we wanted to be at near the beach.
Supermarkets nearby are handy.
Shower facilities & luggage store available after check out.

I use this hotel and no other, from the rooms to the workers to the food its just brilliant. Its a bit of a dander to the strip but not far if mobile enough.

Nothing on indoors when raining. Kids disco was 20 mins should be an hour minimum. Pool should be left open until 7.

Avoid at all costs - rats in children’s pool area and unsafe play park

We stayed at Globales Costa de la Calma as a family with our one-year-old, and it completely ruined what should have been a relaxing holiday.

The most serious issue — and the reason we booked this hotel — was the children’s splash pool. During our stay, there were rats in the children’s pool area, which we have video evidence of. This made the entire splash park unsafe and unusable for our toddler. As parents, we were horrified. The main facility we chose this hotel for was effectively taken away from us due to a basic health and safety failure.

In addition to this, the overall experience was very poor:

* Frequent noise at night from drunken guests, making it difficult for our child to sleep
* Unhelpful and confrontational staff, including being shouted at for using room towels by the pool
* A completely unreasonable policy where you must pay €6 per towel per day plus €10 deposit, and are not allowed to use your own room towels
* A dangerous children’s play area, with chipped and worn equipment that could easily cause cuts or injury

This hotel is marketed as family-friendly, but our experience was the complete opposite. Between the safety concerns, lack of basic hygiene, and poor staff attitude, we felt stressed rather than relaxed for most of our stay.

We have raised this formally and provided evidence, but the response has been extremely disappointing.

I would strongly advise families — especially those with young children — to avoid this hotel.
