Excellent location. I also had a room with a balcony and that was super. It’s just a short walk away from the Hauptbahnhof, the shops and attractions of Westend and is quiet.
I stayed for two weeks — it’s the length of the stay that made me get an apartment rather than a traditional hotel room. However it did not feel like a flat. The host I think really crossed the line between being frugal and being miserly.
1. Rooms are cleaned after 8 days — you get one towel for that time. He is not very happy if you ask for more. Bins are not emptied.
2. No real amenities. You have to supply your own dish washing soap and sponge, body wash for after 2 days, no decent coffee mugs — only those dainty tiny tea cups, power sockets really inconveniently located to work, no extension cords.
3. He up-charges 10euro for every use of the washer and dryer (something that is neither specified in the website nor in the printed rules sheet provided on check-in). The check out time is 10am (instead of the usual 11am).
4. Lots of ants and other bugs (but that might be from the balcony and keeping the window open)
