I booked a king bed and got a queen bed and an infestation and swarm of termites in the unit. Property manager was defensive and uncooperative.

The room I was put in was not the unit in the pictures that I reserved or anywhere close to the units description when I made the booking. I reserved a king bed with a pull out couch and a kitchenette - we were put in a unit with 2 full beds (very uncomfortable) without a kitchenette; we had 2 electric burners that we could cook on, but they didn’t work well or stay on when trying to use them. There was a toaster oven, I tried to use it once and it smoked like crazy because it was so dirty inside so it was quickly shut off and not used again. There were 3 sets of bathroom towels available for 2 people for 8 nights, so I had to go buy towels for the shower and the pools / beach. The beds and pillows are in desperate need of being updated and are very uncomfortable to sleep on. Since leaving, I have been charged another $250 because they said we smoked in the room - which we absolutely did not do. The person traveling with me smoked outside and butted them out to throw away inside, and she either missed the trash can or didn’t realize that she had dropped 2 butted out butts on the floor beside the trash can. I have told the manager repeatedly that no one smoked inside and we just didn’t want to litter the grounds when walking outside; she still charged me the $250. We are now in a dispute about that additional charge and I assume she is also going to keep the $150 security deposit. Also, this property manager was unresponsive to my texts and messages leading up to and on the day of my reservation, going so far as to hang up on me when I tried to call her before our trip, and ignored all my attempts to reach her until just before our check-in time of 4:00. Then she didn’t reply to my questions until days later at times, when I asked her about things at the very beginning of our stay. She gave us wrong information about several things, which caused confusion until I spoke to people that lived in the complex about things.

Just jotting down some thoughts after our recent stay, hoping these little observations might be helpful for future visits or for improving things if this was a trial run for hosting!

First off, the place felt super clean, which was wonderful. We did, however, pick up on a bit of a musty scent in the air. Maybe a subtle linen spray or a gentle plug-in diffuser could be a nice touch to keep everything smelling fresh without being overpowering.

The bathroom light was a little bit of a tease, flickering on and off, so that might be something to look into – probably just needs a quick bulb swap!

We absolutely loved having the patio space, but we found the chairs a bit uncomfortable for lounging since they were missing cushions. Adding some comfy chair pads would make them perfect for relaxing outdoors.

Your guest manual was an absolute lifesaver – so well put together and informative! It gave me an idea: what if you added a few blank pages at the end? Guests could use them to share their own wonderful reviews or even jot down some local tips they discovered during their stay, like favorite restaurants or hidden gems. It could be a really fun way to gather recommendations!

Oh, and we were quite diligent about protecting the furniture! We ended up using napkins as makeshift coasters, so having a set of actual coasters available would be a thoughtful addition.

Lastly, we noticed the ice machine wasn't working, and it actually took us a couple of days to even discover one on the property ground. A quick check to ensure it's functional and perhaps a little note about its spot in the guest guide would be super helpful.

Overall, we had a truly fantastic time and really enjoyed our stay! These are just a few small, hopefully constructive, ideas that we think could elevate an already great experience to absolute perfection for anyone staying there.

Not knowing before hand that you needed to bring room essentials, health & beauty paper products. No dish towels or dish towels.

The property wasn't able to accommodate our family. I did my due diligence on the room by calling ahead of time to verify that there was a separate bedroom as it is listed as a 1 bedroom. It is not! It is a studio and although it says it will sleep 4 there must be 2 couples and not a family with 2 teenagers. This was more of a hotel with a kitchenette. Asked for a refund as our family wasn't able to stay at the property, nor could they switch us to an accommodating room. They would not!! Beware and the people on the phone have no clue about the property you are visiting.

Hair dryer didn’t work we requested another one but no one dropped one off. Lack of outlets for phone chargers. No bath mat even though there was a note to use the brown towel not a white towel. Door hits the floor and was hard to open. Same was true for the bathroom door. Beds were comfy but no other comfortable place to sit. Lighting was poor.

The owner stole 150.00 of the deposit and gave her and canceled the reservation saying booking.com canceled it not her. She waited until Sept 6th to cancel the reservation and I was ready checked in. She said she is keeping my deposit for the cleaning fees when the cleaning fee is already added in the reservation. She stated to booking.com that she misunderstood the policy of refunding my deposit which its been over 2months and I still haven't received my deposit!

Annoyed there was not enough lighting. We could not find any extra blankets. The hot water never got hot. Did not like sending a copy of my credit card. There’s no staff on site.. There’s no clear directions on how to get into the building. They could do better at cleaning maybe a professional cleaner once in a while.
