Beautiful room in peaceful area
Pros:

Room was very pretty in a beautiful old building. Bed was super comfy and the bus stop right outside was very convenient.

Cons:

No air con, only a fan so it was very hot (35 degrees on the day we were there though)
As bathroom was shared it was a bit dirty and sink was clogged but that’s to be expected.

Loved that it seems to have been a bedroom in a large house at one time. Loved the original windows and all the wonderful light it brought to the room, tall ceilings with moldings and details, floor tiles, comfortable bed, contemporary furnishings, comfy and quality towels, hangers in the closet/armoire, enough outlets, and there was a refrigerator in the room. The host was responsive as well.

Cons:

In the bathroom, disrepair in the shower where there needed to be a deep clean, structural repair (the glass that shields water from escaping on the side of the shower), caulking, and a cleaner/new shower curtain. (The shower obviously had a glass door at one time and was replaced with a shower curtain.) The cold water handle on the sink worked strangely in that you needed to turn it on with several twists before anything would come out, but then it worked fine.

Overall, it seemed a little barren.

I also needed another room that evening for a relative and was disappointed to find the room rate if I were to book that day was substantially cheaper. The relative found another hotel with charm and a kitchen, laundry service and staff, free breakfast and cappuccino, for a fraction of the price.

It was also about a forty minute walk to the town center and nothing in the room to explain the tunnels leading to that area (which would have been extremely helpful). Nothing to share how interesting the LeCure area was (discovered the market by accident just a block or two away).
