Great location and very clean room, but poor communication, daily breakfast coupon hassles, and hot-water issues detract

Amazing location. Very clean room.

Cons:

Overview: Reception communications were poor.
Breakfast: We were receiving some coupons (there are just piece of paper with our room number) for our breakfast. To get those you had to go each day and ask them from reception. Don't understand why we couldn't get all coupons in advance.
Hot water issue: We had an issue with hot water. Instructions received from reception were not right. Communication was poor and not acceptable for a boutique hotel.

A very relaxing stay.
Pros:

Great location near the town and very comfortable with great outdoor seating. Fabulous swimming at end of garden. Beautiful setting.

Our stay at the Pafsilipon Suites was amazing. The view from the balconies over the city are stunning. The location is also a short walk to the city center. The staff is also very friendly and always willing to help you. Would recommend the Pafsilipon Suites to everyone staying on Syros.

Disappointed and unfortunately not what I expected
Pros:

The location was fine. It was a simple walk to the main square and other outstanding sites. beautiful sea side views.

Cons:

I did not like that the rooms we received where not what I expected based on the pictures on Booking.com. We got sub par rooms. I paid for 2 rooms. Our room had the bed shoved up against a wall and no ocean view. I showed the one and only staff member the pictures of what I purchased and it as not what we got. She expressed there was nothing to do about it because they were sold out. The key to our room did not function properly. The one and only employee could not get it to work and we fussed with it for 15 minutes. I was already upset not getting the room I felt I paid for now I spent 15 mins fussing with our door. Lastly, we were suppose to have a taxis waiting for us at the dock. There was none. It was 100 degrees that day. No shade and no taxis. I called and asked her where it was and she said she was going to send it now. I told her forget it. It was too hot to wait. There were 20 taxis outside the dock. We would just grab one. The hotel's taxis was going to be forty euros. The one for the dock charged us eight euros.

An astonishing view, beautiful design with incredible attention to detail, and a place we’re always happy to return to.
Pros:

This was our second stay at Pafsilipon this summer, and we were very happy to come back. The location and views are fantastic, the rooms are beautiful and very comfortable, and everything is spotless. The people are warm, helpful and make the stay feel easy and relaxed. Definitely a place we’ll return to.

Cons:

Nothing really. We had a great stay both times.

Will certainly be back to Pafsilipon in Syros, beautiful suites in an amazing island.
Pros:

Faultless stay. Perfect location.
Very large room in the heart of everything yet super peaceful in the most precious neighbourhood in Ermoupolis (Vaporia). Hosts were so responsive and helped with an early check in and I was extremely grateful for letting me use the room for an important video call after checkout time. This place is a real gem! Spotless, very pleasant style, enchanting view. Breakfast served in the room was good and tasty (because I didn’t have enough time, unfortunately I could not take advantage of the breakfast served by the sea in one of the nicest beach clubs on the island).

Pros:

The location was perfect as far as the view is concerned. All the balconies are overlooking the picturesque area of Vaporia and the sea.
The rooms are perfectly decorated giving you the feeling of staying at mansions.
Excellent service from hotel stuff. (Penny you are the best!!)

Cons:

No permanent reception or reception area connected with the suites.
No breakfast area.
A lot of stairs in the area of Vaporia.
A lot of stairs to go up and down at Ciel beach bar, where breakfast is served.
Our room, Vasiliki suite, evethough it is beautiful with a lovely balcony, it is very small.
Breakfast served at the room from a bakery was not so tasteful, eventhough the service of the hotel delivering it was very good.

A great place to stay, combining luxury with casual elegance.
Pros:

Amazing view of the Syros skyline and nature, access to beach (well, to the sea via a well constructed platform with two stairs into the water), jacuzzi, deck chairs, free beach towels, free water and a bottle of wine in fridge along with coffee, replenished each day, responsive service, room comfort.

Cons:

I would only share the critique of the cleaning staff that the bed can only be accessed from one side. And not good for handicapped: only access by stairs. But that’s the only negative critique.

Η Σύρος μαγευτική! Θα την επισκεφτούμε ξανά και το βέβαιο είναι πως θα φροντίσουμε να μείνουμε στο ίδιο κατάλυμα.
Pros:

Το μπαλκόνι του δωματίου Angel ήταν απίστευτο. Η καλύτερη θέα της Σύρου. Μεγάλο και άνετο.
Το δωμάτιο όμορφα διακοσμημένο και καθαρό.
