Value for money. Hotel is out of town, but there are good bus links into the city centre and seafront, with a bus stop directly outside the accommodation.
We had a comfortable sleep, bedding was clean.
Parking available either on site (although limited spaces) or on surrounding residential streets. Be sure to get a parking permit from the bar if you are parking on a match day.
We had dinner on our first night and breakfast on both mornings. Food was lovely, reasonably priced, but for us it was the hospitality of Dennis and Cheryl in the pub who made our stay a lovely experience.
Both very friendly and helpful. Dennis makes a mean breakfast and was a fantastic host, nothing was too much trouble.
Nothing that we didn’t like as such, but just a couple of small things to note.
Shower water pressure not the best, but not unacceptable. Bathroom was generally clean, but I did have to wipe the tiles in the shower down before using it as there were hairs stuck to the walls. For me that’s a big ick, but for others may not be an issue.
The sealant around the shower tray and shower door could do with replacing due to black marks (possibly moisture damage), but again nothing too offensive.
The room was a comfortable size, but don’t expect a large room (we booked the deluxe double).
It’s comfortable enough for two if you’re just looking for somewhere to lay your head for a night or two.
No where to hang clothes apart from a hanger on an over door hook on bathroom door.

The reviews about the karaoke underneath the room were not wrong.

The man who checked us in and was cleaning the rooms gave us exceptional customer service, the room was very clean, and comfortable bed. A fan was provided in the room as it was very hot.
The shower was difficult to get to a sensible temperature, either way too hot or way too cold, no in-between. Otherwise fantastic.

Free parking! Showed me where to park on arrival (: Lovely room, bed, terrace and view.
Young women at the bar on arrival was very helpful. The food at breakfast OK. Without the roof terrace the room would have been unbearable. Room was clean enough. The shower worked and was clean enough.
Communication with staff on booking and before arriving was impossible. No reply. Only received an email once we were on our way. No one answered our phone calls. Very basic accommodation. Tiny room with only 1ft between bed and wall on two sides. Very claustrophobic , hot and airless. Window opened just a above the smokers at the front, who continued their loud conversations till just after closing time. Bloke making breakfast was unwelcoming and didn't seem to want to be there or care that we were guests. Whole place seemed be run on a shoestring without any management present and no real concern for customer service other than the very basics.
Fridge in the room.
Be careful. The fridge back gets hot and it's right next to the bed. When you are asleep you can easily touch the back of the fridge.
