Decent, modest little hotel near the main drag
Pros:

This is a decent, modest little hostel just off El Tambo's main drag (where the buses towards Cuenca/Quito pass), and a stone's throw from the main square. I loved the colourful rooftop patio, which has nice views. The staff were helpful and let me use the kitchen to make simple meals.

Cons:

The only window in my room faced inwards into the hotel, but I think they do have rooms with outward-facing windows. I wish I'd had a key for the main door into the hotel, since I had to buzz every time and the lady was obviously busy and could sometimes take a while to come down.

Pros:

Ruime kamers, prima ontbijt (voor $3.5)

Cons:

De bel van de voordeur galmt de hele tijd door het huis. Fijner als gasten code kunnen krijgen om zelf binnen te komen.
We kregen maar 1 handdoek per kamer.
Het gratis drinkwater was een paar keer op.

Cons:

Pésima atención, realizamos una reserva y cuando llegamos cansados después de horas de viaje nunca nos abrieron y dejaron de contestar los teléfonos. Esperamos largo tiempo hasta que ya en la noche nos tocó buscar algún hotel disponible en la ciudad. Me parece una falta de respeto, es la primera vez que me sucede algo así en esta aplicación, son unos irresponsables.
